      • @K2Cool_87: The two options that i feel should make you comfortable with are Panasonic Lumix FZ35 or Canon PowerShot SX20. Both are prosumers and ample amount of automatic as well as manual settings. Pesonally I would recommend FZ35 because you can attach lenses and filters on it, it can store images in RAW format and also it uses Lithium Ion battery back, so at one charge you should be able to take 400-500 shots and extra battery pack comes for as low as 400-500rs. So you keep a lot spare ones, and charging is also very quick.

        Check out comparison at http://www.neutralday.com/canon-powe...umix-dmc-fz35/

Better lens. I'm using a Tamron 15-50 f/2.8 VC and those pics were handheld. One of the clarke quay pics is a 1.6sec handheld with the silky water surface.

If you're using a tripod, set the lowest ISO you can with the camera and take pictures in RAW if using a DSLR.

Awesome Macros, one question though, why is the ladybird posterized?

                          • @Simba, Varun, Srini: Thank you guys.

@Saif: Yes, the ladybird is a little posterized. I had done so in post-processing, purposefully. Just trying out different things these days.

@Varun: I liked the PP effects, care to share the procedure please?
