@praveen: Beautiful colours, you should've halted the car and got out and clicked some more..

P.S:

That macro would've rocked head on, if the focus would've been on both the eyes (from the front).

Thanks Aryan, should have. But vicky was driving all night and we were in a hurry to find ourself a room and rest.

In the photo you posted, I do not see the need or benefit of HDR

Thanks Vicky, will keep the feedback in mind, in fact thats sort of what i figured as well. I know its probably not easy to discern but because i have normal pictures of the bike in that shot i know that the HDR brought out a lot more detail that was hidden by dark shadows. If you notice sunlight is actually falling on the other side of the bike, the side facing the camera was cast in dark shadow when i took the shot.

Just something to pass the time between races, its good fun though..gets the creative juices flowing so to speak.

Thanks, yes a whole year of racing had not been updated, i'm finally getting to it..still more to put up.

2nd option is right. The light was from a vehicle approaching from behind me. The cam's flash was off.

aryan: i dont know why but all the macro shots that you posted before had all dirty patches in it.also i see that the focus was not tact sharp.well if u gonna use F16 and such then your shutter duration increases which in turn gives the subject the time to move.well light also is not available all the time.so i will suggest to check out some 2.8 reviews from net and also ask sunny.and also simultaneously use the DOF technique of photocs4.

and the last and final from the JV.

Yes, I have mostly used between f11 and f13, hence the focus is not as sharp (as a result of decreased shutter speed the focus has been out I guess). Also, while shooting I didn't really see the dirt on the flower..

It's only after the lens captures it all the dirt was visible..

2.8 meant your lens review and techniques

mostly i think u must be using tripod.if not then ill say use it.no matter what people say of ISO performance and your canon speed,tripod and macro to me are companions.

also try and use the raynox with the 2.8.

Tripods would be okay for still subjects like flowers, etc. but it surely cannot be used if I want to shoot a live subject like a bee or a bug or something similar. That is the limitation of a tripod; and I just cannot lug it around whenever I want to pay a visit to the nearest park..

The thing I need I guess is a macro flash, preferably the MT 24EX flashes from Canon..!!
