  • @MG: Thanks. Am glad you liked the picture. The polarizer REALLY helps to cut out haze (if any), and really brings out vibrant colors in the blues and the greens. I am glad I had one during the Spiti trip.

As for the picture(s) losing quality while uploading, try 'TinyPic' or 'Imageshack'. I use imageshack, personally, and find it to be good enough.
    :)

        • Rechargeable cells

          Sorry for jumping in...
I need some expert advice on the fuel that you experts use for your cams. I have a pretty basic Canon Powershot A540. I had been using Sony 2400mAH rechargeable cells so far.
But now I see the charger blinking, a quick google search showed that the cells need to be replaced. I was pretty disappointed with these cells. I've had them for about 2 years but havent used them much and now they are kaput.

          1. can anybody recommend a better brand of cells that I can use with my charger?

          2. Any recommended place in Bangalore where I can get these for a good price.

          Thanks,
          Beo

PS: Mods, if there is a more appropriate place, please move this thread there. thanks..!

                      • @Bandhav: Nice try, but these images look a little soft to my eyes. Could you post the EXIF details, please, if possible?

                        • By soft we mean lack of sharpness?

Please guide what settings can help to get a sharper pic?

                          • Thanks for the prompt reply!

Yes, by 'soft', I meant the lack of sharpness. Did you click these photographs at the tele end of the lens? I believe that might be the reason behind the lack of sharpness in these photographs.

However, a little sharpening in post-processing should solve this problem.
                            :)
