    • @vijaycool:yes..LR will give an edge.PS will give more.thats why i said edit in PS for more results.

      @aryan: agree with you man.

      @kencool:
      well if you observe that photo.i dont have any external flashes.mine is not a DSLR so external doesnt come into play.that leaves me with my built in flash.i usually see how much light and how the light is falling on the subject.i dont restrict flash use.so that shot is with flash.
      i use a macro kit of raynox called raynox cm 2000 which consists of raynox 150 and raynox 250.1.5x and 2.5x magnification.this when you combine with your tele end of suppose 300mm you get real close to subjects..and actual macros.also price wise raynox is very much worth.for 100$ you effectively get a 3.75x kit which is snap on.
      for crisp shots tripod is a must.even if i know handheld pretty well i will still use tripod.

      for water shots..its all about the light and your shutter speed and how you drop the water..and what you use to drop the water.

                      • @anvancy: Thanks for sharing the full information about the Raynox. I am just wondering when you do shoot at 3.75x magnification, what about light? I mean, doesn't it get pretty dark at those magnifications? How do you manage to control the light then - through some external light source, probably??
                        :)

                            • ^^ And u were holding the shutter button for nice 30 minutes?? or did u put a weight over remote button (I'm stupid) ..
                              Have seen in flickr the effect is possible with lesser shutter lag of 5 minutes also (compensating the ISO) ..

                              BTW can u pls share the exif?

                              Here are some macros from the old set-
