..hum to sipai hai.
Nice macros, great detail and lovely colors! However, I found the flash to be too harsh on both the beetle and the spider
Thanks ummm.. Psycho!Originally posted by Psycho_McCrazy View Posthey vicky boss
love those HDR's
howdya make 'em from a single RAW??? multiple Digital EV compensated JPG's or does the HDR soffie directly accept RAW's???
and when exposing the RAW, what is the target exposure, the highlights or the shadows, or just simple balanced exposure....?????
Photomatix can work on a single RAW file and simulate the different exposures it needs from it.... to create a pseudo HDR from a single RAW shot.
Otherwise, you can manually create jpg's with -2,-1,0,+1,+2 EC in your raw processor and then feed them into any HDR software.
My second shot was created using this technique
However, this technique produces images that are too aggressive and far from reality.... thats not saying that these are not good. Its just a matter of preference really. I prefer HDR's where you will be hard pressed to even guess that the image is an HDR. For these, I create two jpgs from the raw processor.. one exposing the sky correctly, and the other exposing the ground correctly. Then i manually blend the two together in PS CS3 using layers & masks.
My first shot was created using this work flow
Thanks Punk! Both shots were taken from our terrace in Guwahati... albeit on diff days as you can judge by the cloudsOriginally posted by Cyberpunk View PostSweet!
Where was this taken? (I like this style and how it seem's to replicate the way a human eye see's!)

TIGER Face Off!!
Since long I had been planning to visit the Tiger Park... was finally able to make it last Sunday..
It was sunset time, and as I was walking through the dense vegetation, I heard the sound of crackling leaves behind the distant bushes. I stopped and waited motionless...trying to get a glimpse of things, and there about 30mts from me I could see black & yellow stripes through the bushes...

1/60s, f/5.6, ISO 1600, 300mm
He then paused, tilted his head towards the ground and sniffed the air.. I think he could notice my presence.. however, he ignored me and continued his walk towards the less bushy areas...
And then as he stepped out of the vegetation and into the warm sunlight, we could see each other face to face..he stopped, opened his Jaws, and gave me a threatening stare from 30m

1/160s, f/7.1, ISO 1600, 235mm
But, I defied him and stood my ground. It was a face off...This took him by surprise, as he's not normally used to people defying him so ballantly... he slowly started walking towards me..now 25m

1/160s, f/7.1, ISO 1600, 210mm
It was not a charge, but he kept his stare fixed at me and continued walking towards me.. I was slowly starting to get afraid...at 20m

1/160s, f/7.1, ISO 1600, 180mm
I mustered enough courage and stood still, shooting away at 3fps... and he continued towards me... now 15m

1/160s, f/7.1, ISO 1600, 135mm
At 10m, as he stared into my eyes, a sudden chill ran down my spine

1/160s, f/7.1, ISO 1600, 135mm
Now he was barely 10ft from me.... and I felt no fear, for, due to the reduced focus distance, I was able to see the reassuring impression of the Solid Steel bars between the two of us

1/160s, f/6.3, ISO 1600, 115mm
Whew! what a face off...and I didn't budge till the last moment

Tried to simulate HDR panorama it aint good with single exposure. Its not a lake its a "Aliyar dam".

Ordinary pano shot . I love this shot. Its quite contrasty due to sunshine and shadow on the other side
