So i'm looking into getting a motorcycle dashcam to use for both riding and driving... everyone knows about gopro's as a action cam but I was wondering what do you use? How do you mount it, chin, side, top? I would like to be able to move it easily from my helmet to my dash so I can use it while riding and while driving.

Well, not many choices exist with the name "Dash cam" because.. you must've guessed it, its easy to steal a dash cam from a motorcycle. Still some exist. Search for INNOV Motorcycle Dash Cam (Front and Rear) and Viofo MT1 Motorcycle Dash Cam.
Due to the theft problems, many bikers rely on action cameras so far, some of which are mounted on helmet, others on chest straps, bike handlebars, etc.
A good choice is to keep it installed in console or the pilot lamp through modifications, and you can use one which accepts power trough USB, something like Yi Action Camera (2K) does that. Yi is a good Chinese company that has connections with Mi, so its good enough for quality in my opinion.
I got one for around Rs. 3999 few years back.
