"Now thats a detailed and convincing reply , well done, did you use aluminum?[/QUOTE]"

    Hi Worrisome,

Firstly, I am not here to convince anyone!!! As I often say - its your life - you have to justify to yourself what you did!! :-)

Next, yes, used Aluminium billet - that's light and hardy!!!

Other than that, its the design that I did, which I feel makes it firmer fitting and stronger!! Ride has been exceptional - I just did a spin and got back home, post office!!

And the guy who will do it - I can share his number with anyone who calls me - I am the proprietor of the design, but not the manufacturer or the seller here!! Anyone can contact me, and if required, I can get it made, help with the fit-out, clarify doubts and post it for the shipment charges - I am willing to go to that extent!! :-D

Or if you are in Mumbai, or come to South Mumbai, I can direct you off to the guy's garage!!

    Cheers and ride safe!!

    SD.

Re: Group buy: Ninja 300/250 Handle bar risers

An update to this thread. I started this thread hoping to find an economical way to increase the height of the handlebars. I tried getting it done in Pune, with proper CNC cutting etc, but it would have cost me 4500+. comdrsd above showed excellent technique to get it fabricated, but I didn't find anyone reliable in Pune to do it, and going to Mumbai solely for getting it done would cost me in the same range.

I finally bit the bullet, saved some money, and bought a handlebar riser from US. The landed cost at my doorstep was Rs.4200, that includes customs n all. It is a CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum model. I received 4 long screws and two anodized risers in the package. It looks exactly the same as the first image of this post. The quality seems very good. It doesn't have that additional risen part as it was in above DIY. I had read in some discussions, that it was not important for the strength of the riser, as it depended mainly on those 4 bolts only. It is a hot topic though, and it depends on your preference. I am happy with 4 bolts, though above idea of protrusion is good as well ( but only available as DIY and not ready product).

I will get it installed from Kawasaki on Saturday. Till that time, if any budding DIY person wants me to get sketch/photo/measurement etc, do let me know. Once it is installed, it will not be removed.

I was following this thread silently just to know about the conclusion. Though I'm more inclined towards aggressive riding posture as required for track days, I still wanted to know how the custom parts fare. And since you're in Pune, you can pay a visit to Vikram from Motozone, though I'm personally not having a very good experience with him as I'm here in Delhi. I'm yet to receive my custom sprocket after making the payment on 20th April.

What' I'm looking for is custom rear set adjusters. I have the Yoshimura rearset brackets and they have only 2 positions for the foot peg assembly. I'm looking for more options. A bracket which has at least 4-8 optional positions to position the foot pegs. If you have a DIY idea around that do let me know. The Yoshimura's were for 4500-5000rs something, not sure. I'm willing to spend something around that amount only.

Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

I got the risers installed. The riding position has now improved a lot. It is almost as upright as any touring bike. I am loving it!

It was a very simple job, just remove the bolts, pop in these spacers, and use new bolts. I did not require to pull any wires or break anything on the bike. I recommend this mod very much Makes my daily commute very enjoyable.

            Hello Friends,

Nice to see that people are exploring for such aftermarket options. I would like to introduce my new manufacturing firm named "Carbon Racing Inc" coming up in Tumkur Smart City, Karnataka. We will be manufacturing high quality aftermarket parts for most of the sport/cruiser bikes. We have started this venture just with an aim of providing Indian customers with very high quality aftermarket parts with the quality on par/greater than that of other global brands with a moderate price tag.

All our parts will be made only from high quality material like 6061 T6 Aluminium, genuine carbon fiber, Kevlar, Poly carbonate etc, and no compromise on quality while trying to lower the prices. We are planning to set up a design lab too shortly in order to provide proper R&D backing for our products.

I have made many designs of many aftermarket parts for many bikes and this handle bar raiser is one of them. Do let me know how many are interested, so that I can tune the model suitable for N300 and share the pricing as pricing is number driven at the moment.

            Website: www.carbonracing.in
PS: the company website is still under construction and scheduled to be completed by end of Jul-2015 with all the internal payment gateway options.
PPS: Right now we are working only on the metal parts. We will start thermoforming and CF/Kevlar works later this year or early next year.

            Cya soon.
            Happy riding.

Hi speedmon four months ago I was looking for handlebars and risers for my zx-14. Thanks to one of my Canadian friends who suggest me to buy them from viking bags. But they don't have risers so their support helps me a lot to visit the Black Path. Hopefully, I got them in one week and am pretty satisfied with both of them. Suggest you to visit them once. Now I feel much better while riding in-city My this decision put a major relief in back pain.
