    Make your motorcycle gloves work with touch screen

    Many of us uses our smartphone as a GPS device during our rides. As of now (as far as i know) there is no motorcycle specific GPS device available in India.
    So relying on smartphone is critical for a nice touring experience.

    I am using MapmyIndias's paid app on my android phone for this purpose for many years now. However removing gloves to operate phone was frustrating.

    I was looking for a solution to make my gloves work with a capacities touch screen device and I found two solutions. One is to stitch in some conductive threads to my gloves finger tips. This wasn't the best solution.

    So I finally found out this:

      Where is this Nanotips available and for how much?
      I also saw an option on the phone to increase the touchscreen sensitivity, so that it responds with gloves.
      Need to try that too.

        I use my S5 with gloves all the time. Works like a charm. I think this thread was started when smartphones were not so smart

          Even my Lumia 720 respond well through gloves if I select high touch screen sensitivity.

            Just one suggestion on making this video - It would've been better if you showed before & after applying nanotip. Means, try the smart phone with the glove before applying it (so no control works) & then after applying (after which everything works)

              Hey and you have probably the newest phone there
              Xperia Z which I use don't support any glove mode.

              I hope new Xperias supports glove mode !

              Agree with you. In factt I shot that as well and cut it off in final to reduce video length. Will include such details in future. Thanks for the suggestion Ganesh Ji.

                no phone supports its just changing the sensitivity works as a make shift adjustment.
                Nanotips also needs to be re-applied as far as i know. the best option is to make a few stitches on the first 2 fingers with a special conductive thread. that should solve the problem.

                  Nanotips need to be re applied. After few rides it peels off.

                  Stitching thread in is a good option for cheaper gloves. Also note that this is not an option for water proof gloves.

                    $20 is expensive. And yes Lumia's screen is very awesome. Many android phones still don't have that quality of touch sensitivity.
