  • Aspida pegasus review

    Build quality -

when it comes to quality ASPIDA (spartan pro gear ) products are really good . The stitching quality of the gloves are very good in general and velcoro patches on the straps feels strong . Overall the gloves gives you that premium feel , I mean for me it's an big change from a pro biker for this .
This gloves is a full leather construction and being leather it has the High impact resistance and gives you good protection in case of an accident . It breaks into your hands very easily but it's always important to buy one according to your correct size .
I only bought this gloves a few days ago and I have done 400km with these gloves and experience so far is Pretty good .

    Comfort -

This gloves is really comfortable for daily use and for weekend long rides .
The material used inside the gloves feels really soft and comfortable . The ventilation is pretty good for the summer , it has ventilation holes behind the knuckle protector . For city use its perfect because It gives you a good feedback of the throttle and movement of the fingers are not restricted . For long rides it's good enough but a full gauntlet would be better . I did test it on touch screen and it's okay but don't expect too much feedback .This gloves is a Pre-curved motorcycle-riding specific design .

    Protection -

For protection aspida pegasus has Hard plastic knuckle protectors , which are sure to protect you incase of a fall . There are hard plastic protectors on the finger area for extra protection but the pinky finger has no protector instead it has a dual layer leather .The worst part of this gloves is that it has no extra padding for the palm area , this is most important area where there should be some kind of protection because incase of an accident the first area of impact would be our palms . Even my 300rps pro biker has hard protectors on its palm area , it would be great if Aspida could add more protection to the palm area and for the pinky finger . Overall protection is good but like I said it just need some improvements .

    Weather compatibility -

For the summer season this gloves would be perfect because it has good ventilation , even if it's a leather glove you won't sweat in it much .
For the rainy season you better not wear this , I repeat it's gonna soak water like sponge. I did test it in the shower and trust me it was a horrible [emoji3] .
For cold conditions I have no experience sorry .

    Pros :
    1 Good build quality
    2 Excellent looks
    3 good ventilation

    Cons :
1 Expensive now (because when I
bought mine a few days ago the price
    was 2600 and now it's 2925 .
2 Lack of extra padding on the palm
    and pinky finger
3 wish if it was a little water resistant

Thanks for taking out time to write out the review. And good detailed pictures as well.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Am sorry I didn't get any size chart with the gloves , I just went to the shop and picked the right size for me . Although you can contact the spartan customers service

They changed their name to ASPIDA and all their new products are named ASPIDA too , you can only find some old stock with spartan written on it .
They are both the same no difference . The only difference is that now all their products are really expensive.

Hey i also want to upgrade from the pro biker gloves and these. Loves were in my budget but not out of it.
My question is if i wear it during little shower will it damage the gloves or just make my hand wet?

I did test the gloves in the shower and in heavy rain , it's not at all good for any wet conditions because the material inside the gloves absorbs water like sponge and it becomes really uncomfortable. The water won't damage the gloves , although the hard part getting it dry .

It's better to upgrade from the probiker , save up and get a proper gloves buddy . Now I use my old probiker only for the rain .
