  • Royal Enfield Boot Cover / Shoe Protector

Wanting something like this for years for my 20 min office commute use, I finally purchased it from the local Enfield Store. Turns out it has typical Enfield quality.
My first run I rode about 20 mins with 10 mins in hard rain and my shoe got completely wet. Ah ok I thought - it was raining heavily.
My next run was around 10 mins in light rain - again it got wet. Today it wasn't even raining and my shoe got wet from just the splashback from the front tire!
Serves me right for buying RE again after a bullet. Good for Show and nothing else. I am going to try to return this and get my money back.

I put up this review on the RE site with 1 star rating and guess what the review doesn't show up! It just says No Reviews! I wonder how many other such reviews are being hidden.

    Thread Approved and Closed

A review needs to be far more comprehensive than this. If you have images, more to say about the product, drop me a PM, will re-open the thread and you can add the information.

    Thanks a lot

    Edit - re-opening the thread.

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

      Royal Enfield Boot Cover

      Hi Guys,

I am thinking of buying Royal Enfield Boot Covers (1300/- on the website) - wanted to know if anyone has used and does it _really_ protect shoes from rain/mud?

      Thanks in advance..

It works well as long as it works. Mine torn in a monsoon's use. 1300 now?? Was 800 when I bought it. If worn properly, it used to give 100% waterproofing, but again its a trial and error game, some part will remain loose. Once water starts entering, it will be full till ankle, 100% proofing, not a drop go out. May be worth for 500 bucks.
