  • MT Axxis Helmet Review

Hey Guys, Today I will review the MT Axxis helmet. I brought the medium sized Limited Evo (White) which I have been using for the past 1000kms. I got the lid from Head Gear, Chennai and was shipped to my address using Professional couriers. I opted against the SPG website because of their terrible payment method. The helmet costs Rs 4150 + 400 shipping.

    Safety:
The lid is ECE R22.05 and DOT certified. The D-ring retention system is tricky to use initially but is far better in safety than the quick release retention system in other brands.

That is one nice looking helmet, I'm thinking of getting one as well. I just have to find a place in Cochin that sell these.

Since, it’s sold only in the SPG outlets there is no need to question whether it’s genuine or not (No offence LS2).
Can you please tell the difference between mt blade and axxis ?? The blade has a dual visor /sun visor, but it costs 1500 more, if the difference is just of a visor, I would better buy a Ray Ban and mt axxis [emoji14]

Well, i can't pinpoint the difference between the two, since i haven't used the blade. i will ask my friend who wears the blade and get back to you on this

Going to check this helmet tomorrow. Have few questions to the owners -

                  1. I read somewhere that the padding develops cracks / gets torn over a period of time. Any of you experienced this ?
                  2. How about wind noise / howling sound above 70 kmph ?
                  3. Will it be good enough for touring ? I usually ride around 80-90kmph on highways.

                  Any other issues faced ?
It's the journey that matters, not the destination.

Nope, I its been 6 months now and I never got this issue and It doesn't seem like it will do anytime soon.

Nothing dangerously high, You do notice the wind noise at first. But later you will get used to it and won't even feel it.

                    Yes.
Any other issues faced ?Personally none

                      Thanks for the replies mate.

I actually got inputs from different sources and bought the MT Axxis Limited Evo yesterday from Moto 101 near lalbagh. Started the break in right away.
