This was a contest where people had to give a suitable tagline for a picture that xBhp posted regarding the Orazo boots. Though I’m not so lucky most of the times, this seemed to be a lucky one for me! My caption was "Be a duke with Ozaro riding boot". So, I was selected as the winner and the winner was supposed to win this boot as a prize. This though came to me all of a sudden when I was waiting at the stop while waiting for the cab. I opened Facebook as my cab was delayed and I noticed this tag post from xBhp congratulating for the pair of boots.
I was excited, trust me! It was the first time ever I had won something in my life and that too from a FB post! I was in a state of happiness, shock, confusion to be frank. Never mind, I was over with it in a day, meanwhile had messaged xBhp that I needed a size 8 (Greedy much?).
Anyways it took them approx. 1.5 weeks to deliver the product to me. The boots were packed well and these were made in India, with pride! Hell yeah! I was excited to wear them, though I take a cab to work. It had to be weekends when I could really test these boots.
Let’s talk about the brand, quality, features, comfort of the boots, shall we?
Brand: It's a relatively new Indian brand. They seem very promising and their product actually delivers.
Quality: These are not the racetrack boots. These seem to be the exact opposite of them, especially the way they look. I mean they don't look bad at all, but these aren't the boots which you wear with your race suit! These are the kind of boots which do look good with your jeans as well. These boots are sort of a fashion accessory if you trust me. They are good looking, no tacky colors or metal parts sticking out of them which actually makes people say "Oh look racing boots with normal jeans". They are high neck (All-star converse type) which actually save your ankle as well. They are soft where you need them to be and they are firm where it needs to save your feet. The Metal toe guard is "DOPE". It's just like an industrial shoe, the toe is covered and has a thick fat soul. I recon these shoes will also help you out during any field trips to factories. The laces are long and strong and the shoe comes with 2 colors as I noticed.
A - Black.
B- Black with Orange (best for those KTM Owners).
The boot is made up of synthetic material (Unknown to me). They are very light; If ever you are going to judge them on their sheer size! But lightness doesn't make it unsafe, does it? Well it's McLaren kind of light, not Maruti Suzuki (Pun Intended). The materials seem to be very well chosen and the stitching is perfect and will definitely hold up for years together.
Features:
1) Metal Toe for enhanced safety.
2) Double seem stitching for longevity.
3) High neck for ankle protection.
4) Thick Fat sole, seems indestructible.
Comfort: These shoes are very comfortable. They are soft, light and are easy to wear. They don't make that annoying "Tak Tak" noise while walking as well. Though they seem to be water resistant, I’m yet to wear them on a rainy day actually. But they look like they can take a splash easily. The sole is soft on the inside and its overall a very comfortable experience to wear them.
Few Things that I think need improvement:
1)The tip of the shoe sometimes get stuck between the foot-peg and the gear shifter, it should have been a tad thinner.
2)More colors would do no harm to the brand.
Overall Summary: A very good product from an Indian company priced at Rs 4500. If you are looking for a safety riding shoe which you can wear every day, look no more. Orazo got the perfect solution for that. In fact, I’m participating for the Suzuki Gixxer Cup qualifying in Bangalore with these boots. I hope they allow these boots on the track.
Note: Everything is my personal opinion about these boots. xBhp has no involvement in this review & I would like to Thank the xBhp team & Orazo team for sending this in. And no, it's not a sponsored review. I just won it by chance!
