  • Long-term review of Tourer Mods on my Pulsar 220F.

    Hello friends,
My name is Karthik and I love to travel a lot. Being a traveler and having limitations on your motorcycle many of us go for after market accessories. Even I did the same by installing tourer mods on my Pulsar 220. Tourer mods had a crash guard, windshield, handle raiser and a pannier stay with top luggage rack, the following accessories were from Sahyadri. After the installation when I tried to ride the motorcycle I felt the extra weight add-on through the accessories (probably 6-7kgs more). This made me uncomfortable at first but later managed to handle the weight. After the tourer mods on, my first long ride was to Goa from Pune and the experience was amazing. The windshield was doing it's job pretty good and the handlebar raiser gave a good comfort to the shoulders. But there were some bad experience too with accessories, such as the finishing of the product was not that good, the crash guard was damaging the front mud guard. Even once my windshield broken due to sudden impact on pot hole. Ofcourse when there is increase in weight you need to compromise on the performance. Even after sales service was not good as I contacted the person for some modifications to be done for my Karnataka ride ( December 2017) there was no revert back. Today I removed the guard and the windshield as the guard was rusting and that resulted in a small hole (rusted hole). It's being more than 2 years I think being using the accessories and had a great experience using it.

    Thank You.

    Topic Approved.

The spokesperson for Sahyadri may respond here, if they please. I believe any automobile accessory must have a life span of at least 5 years, unless its of a different nature than a regular accessory.
Anyhow, good that you still consider it a positive experience.
