Having purchased a bigger CC bike I had to purchase a new helmet for me and my wife.

With all anxiety of new helmet had shortlisted the MT Thunder3 SV, but found the Scorpion exo 390 to be the most comfortable,I have no clue about this brand and did not even know that 390 is their entry level helmet.

Payed 4k extra [emoji24].

I previously owned an LS2 (not sure of the model but used it for 2 yrs without any problem).

Now the review:

Usage in rainy days **** ( despite using the pinlock ,helmet tents to fog up in heavy rain)
Ventilation *** ( I am from Bangalore and have to open the visor in stop and go traffic) (Highway the vents are good)
Wind noise ** ( wind noise is horrible at speeds of 60kmph, using this helmet on a highway is impossible until you use some earplugs or maybe cotton)

Now initially I thought it's my face structure that's causing the wind noise bit when 2 of my friends tried the helmet they too faced the same issue.

Don't recommend the Scorpion Exo 390, one may try the next level but 390 is not worth the money to spend.

Any suggestions for a helmet is open, I need a helmet that I can use for touring. My head size fit for scorpion was M.

Scorpion Exo 390 is one of the forward successors of Exo 410, the other being sporty exo 420.
The wind noise can be said to be be coming due to -

1- Your head shape
2- Sizing
3- Exo 390 is a touring biased shape rather than sporty exo 420.

Few of my friends are using this exo390 and are very satisfied. It has EPS even on the chinbar afaik.

About the brand - ScorpionEXO is one of the best brands globally, be it helmets, be it gears.
They are used in MotoGP, touring, almost everywhere.

Scorpion EXO 710 is a helmet that has won top 5 helmets in that price range for 4 consecutive years by many reviewers.

There is Scorpion at950, almost every, yes I mean every adventure tourer recommends the same. It is a P/J certified for open face, can be converted to street / dirt /cross / touring, all in one. One of the best in it's price.

Also the Scorpion has best liners in it's price, yes even the 390. Kwikwik 2

Fogging - check the sealing of pinlock if it's fitted properly or not.

So any recommendations that can help me eliminate the wind noise attlist a bit, or any other model that you suggest that I must give a try...but I must say, the comfort level of this helmet is the best, ever since I started using it I have never faced pain in the neck or shoulders that I had with my previous helmet.

The helmet is so good that it literally feels I have nothing on my head and am wearing glasses that acts as visor [emoji7] , just because of the noise I have started to loose interest in this

I'm undecided between the Scorpion EXO R420 Tracker edition or the AGV K3 SV (US spec) Elements edition. What do you guys recommend? I had seen a AGV K3 SV at Bacho Motors in Mumbai and tbh found the finish not so great... Made me wonder if it was original or is AGV charging for the brand and not quality. My main usage would be city and long distance riding. Prefer comfort and stability.

Exo 710 ! inflatable cheek pads help fit it better and also help with wind noise.
You can also try NoNoise or Pinlock ear buds. Cost a lot imo but superb. Also look at earplugs from 3M. The ones with a 3-4 layer-like design and not the foam ones. Works very good.

K3 is a low end read "AGV", the finish is just fine for that. I would recommend exo710 instead.

Between the 420 or the K3 what would you recommend and why? Getting a good deal on the AGV. Both are around the $160 mark.

I would recommend the Exo 710 over both of them, since this a SNELL rated like the 420, but comes with better cheek pads, fiberglass shell which is light and ellpictec visor ratcheting system, one of the best in business.

If not, it would be Exo420.

Why - Exo420 has better noise control compared to agv k3, k3 is a lot noisier even as per many reviews and found it so too.

Exo420 is snell rated. Much safer. (k3 also gets sharp 4 star rating, but I would say exo420 is safer, since it doesn't sacrifice EPS for sun visor, and has a double D ring closure) Agv gets a micrometric closure.

The finish on AGV is very poor and I have heard bugs scratching the paint as well as visor, this is where exo420 scores, it is very well finished.

Coming to cons of exo420, it would feel a little heavy since it is heavy, a little heavier at 1750 grams (L size). This might be due to the SNELL rating it was built to pass.

Exo420 also gets quick pull tabs for cheek pads. One feature I love and should be there in all helmets imho.

Also exo420 comes with a 5 years warranty from date of purchase / 7 years from date of manufacture. AGV comes with 2+2 years warranty on K3 afaik, do confirm this once.

I recently Purchased classic 350 Gun Metal ABS. Now I am in dire need of a new helmet and I can decide which one to get. Previously I was using a Axor helmet(not sure about the model). I have Currently I am living in Pune but I am going to Bangalore for couple of days. So I have decided to by the helmet from Bangalore. My purpose if long ride, and daily city commute. I have found some helmet online but I am not sure which one to get. All of these are from LS2, SMK and MT. I have attached some links for reference. Though I don't want to buy the helmet online due fitting and size issue. Can someone please help with stores in Bangalore where I can find these or other genuine helmets and which helmet should I go for.
