  • Alpinestars TGP Plus RV2 Air Jacket review

This is my first jacket although its been around 2 years since i bought my bike, was using a Vega jacket of a friends till now. I always wanted to buy an Astars jacket, but it was too expensive. I got a huge deal on this, costed 9.7k from FC moto during black friday sales. Shipped it to a friends location in germany who brought it back home for me.

Its very comfortable.I have seen in forums before that being the AIR version it cant be used in winters or chilly mornings as the air flow is too much. In my experience its not so and even useful at cold mornings, it could be because i ride at 80-100km/h.

Level 2 shoulder and elbow protectors. I am planning to use a L2 back protector insert, as of now i just have the foam from Vega jacket. I am pretty broad and buff and i wasn't sure about the size but XL fits perfectly fine for me.

When it comes to looks i guess nothing beats alpinestars, attaching some pictures.

Lot of people buy alpinestars but I dont really like them.

They are like Nike for shoes -- popular brand, expensive products. You can buy a similar product from another brand for a much lower price.

        Eg, check SOLACE FURIOUS.

For 11k, you get one of the best motorcycle touring riding jackets that has...

        1) A high quality fabric resistant to abrasion, scuffs and tear.
        2) Level 1 chest protection with high ventilation.
        3) Level 2 shoulder, elbows and back protection.
        4) Original YKK Zippers
        5) Lhree layered thermal and rain liners for all-weather riding.
I look best when I take my helmet off, I have a glow on my face and a bit of helmet hair ;)

Agreed! Now, most of the local brands has also the best riding gears and are much durable. I prefer to buy from the local ones they are affordable and easy to accessible without wasting time. Like I know two of the local brands Viking group (Viking Bags and Viking Cycle) and Twisted Throttle. They have the best items and have a great experience with them.
