  • The big confusion

Hey petroheads, this is my first post here so be gentle and also correct me where I’m wrong.

Just a few details about me:

I own a Bullet UCE 500 in Delhi. Though I use it only for long rides and not for short daily commutes. I wanted to buy a riding jacket and upgrade my riding gloves to full gauntlet leather gloves. I was happily looking at Rynox Stealth Evo 3 as the best option and Ares Full gauntlet gloves the total being around ₹15-16 k.

But now I’ve seen the Air GT 3 which also has level 2 protectors and also is half the price. Now I’m confused if I am being extravagant as I’m a student and mostly am studying for my Civil services exam and can go for trips at max twice a year. Although the budget is not a constraint but as they say a penny saved is a penny earned.

Should I invest in big daddy touring jacket or adjust for the city jacket with same protectors?

15 to 16 thousand just for gloves is a bit too much. But it alsl depends on budget.

My recommendatjon is to get a gloves in 5 to 6 thousand and a jacket for 10 to 11 thousand. Both being upper limits for middle class student. If u hv d money, sky is the limit.

Thank you for your guidance but I meant that only .
Like 15-16 for total gears not just for the gloves [emoji23].
The confusion I’m in is whether I should get beginner level jacket like Rynox Air GT 3 or should I get touring jacket once and settle it?
          Godspeed.

15-16k only for gloves? Then he would have had HD CVO or something.

If I am not wrong, by Air GT3, you mean RevIt Air GT3?
I have the RevIt GT Air. Its a fantastic jacket. Also I don't think you need different jacket for touring purposes.

I would recommend Get the Air and get the optional back protector and be happy. Good Gear is like an investment and generally lasts for years if well take care for.

I meant the Rynox Air GT 3 jacket that retails for around 6k and has level 2 back, shoulder and elbow guards
