Are DOT and ECE helmets still illegal? Why doesn't AXOR have ISI certification despite being Indian?

    Are DOT and ECE helmets still illegal? Why doesn't AXOR have ISI certification despite being Indian?

    I was reading on DOT and ECE helmets becoming illegal in India because of ISI loophole. News from around 2018-2019 Are they still illegal? I am not getting clarity on the follow-up.


    Also, why does Axor being an Indian company not have ISI certification? Any ideas?

      There is no clarification given by the government in this regard. DOT and ECE helmets are being sold in large numbers currently in India hence they are not illegal.

      Also, It’s risky to use normal ISI helmets outside city limits as they don’t offer a lot of protection.

        DOT, ECE, Snell all are illegal in India.
        Only ISI is legal.
