  • Really need a motorcycle helmet

Hi, I'm looking for a good helmet, under 3000 is fine for me. Since I'm quite busy and the COVID-19 is spreading in where I live now, so it is a good idea to buy online. I have been looking for some information on the internet on some websites but still not get enough information. I was thinking of some brands like HJC, LS2, Arai.
Just read some source and find those names are the best. What are you guys using and how are they?

I'm looking for one that is supper comfortable. Prefer modular type of helmet but not sure what model to go with is the best.
    Any recommendation is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Well, if you're looking at brands like HJC or Arai, you might have to pump up your budget. 3000 (assuming you meant INR) is a bit too low for a good helmet of the calibre you mentioned IMO. However, you should still be able to find decent helmets from Axxis or MT within the 3.5K to 4.5K budget. Helmets such as the MT Mugello or the Axxis Draken, though not the very best, still have pretty good safety ratings and are good for your daily commutes.

Personally, I use an AGV K1 and I find it's been very good for me so far. However, that is quite a stretch from the budget you mentioned, sitting at around 14k-16k.

Also, a "super comfortable" helmet may not be the safest choice always - you need to test your fit so the helmet fits on your face securely and does not move around. This will give you the maximum protection possible. Especially when it comes to a new helmet, you may often find that when sized correctly, the cheek pads are quite tight on your face and may not offer you the most super comfortable feel. We're trying to start an initiative where we're gathering enough photos or videos
of erratic Swiggy/Zomato/UberEats riders across all cities so we can cast a spotlight
on this issue and try and sort it out. If you video-record as you ride, or have a
dash-cam in your car, or can take SAFELY photographs of instances where these riders
are creating a nuisance by riding recklessly on the roads, PLEASE share the same with
us on the thread above. Appreciate it!

Check out the XBHP helmets thread. It is a goldmine of information. SMK is a good brand which is around your budget range.
