i dont know how easy or difficult is to swap batteries on your bike, but if its easy, get another battery / buy a professional battery charger ( around Rs 3000/-) swap the batteries . it seems that there is no magic solution for your problem from honda and in fact they have goofed up in judging the indian riding conditions in relation to the bike design.

Can the ABS sensor be disabled or something ? Agreed ABS is required but people were still riding without ABS at tripple digits.

Atleast this will help to confirm if it really is the ABS which is causing that problem.

and dying by the plenty at those tripple digit speeds.
        Pub lore sux !

        @Ambsace
it looks like you fell victim to a faulty battery ( but u have changed it already) so maybe to a faulty something (maybe ABS is leaking out the battery, maybe the wirring harness has a kurzschluss :S)
I dont know what I would do if I were in your shoes. I would be mighty pissed for sure. Badger/spam HMSI with complaints and if nothing works try approaching Japan.
Whatever you do please keep us all updated. There could be someone else in the future who could suffer the same problem

The bike seems to be well within warranty period. Get it fixed asap. Or else you'll have a troublesome period before you get it fixed by doing a routine check by changing battery, rectifier, etc. A guy down here in my city had the same problems but it was a 954rr. But we couldn't figure out the problem after getting the battery changed or by changing the rectifier. He even had his injectors, plugs and all checked and also all the sensors. Very hard to figure out the problem if it is with the electrical's. If HMSI doesn't respond in a concerned manner (I'm not very sure), mail the top man in charge at HMSI. Send a mail with strong concerned statements and see what happens. One of my friends here (ZeNashB on Xbhp) had issues with the R15 and when the local dealer refused to cooperate in a concerned manner, he sent a mail to the main office in Mumbai or someplace and the day after the guys at the dealer welcomed him and had his bike fixed the same day working on his bike most of the day.
Riding is a way of life. Sometimes, it might also be a way of giving life. So Ride safe. In both contexts.

very few ride this bike in stop and go traffic daily/frequently. most ride on highways in light traffic. the total electric watts required by all the the bike electronics and lights etc should be compensated by the charger by generating sufficient voltage even if the bike is running idle. in this case the battery will keep the charge. else the chances of drained battery results.

next part is an ill charged battery will die much faster that a properly charged battery, which means you will have to replace the battery double quick compared to another bike.

any electrical guys on in this forum can do some calculation and check this out. for me its absolute scary to think of spending 14 lakhs and the bike tells me what to do and how to to ride it so that the battery remains charged.

i hope yours is a genuine problem which HMSI locates and rectifies once and for all.

warranty is ok, but the Honda guys can’t find the problem, 3 batteries changed, rectifier changed, now today the magnet changed.... ab only the wires to go, I hope it still doesn’t give trouble.... bugging thing is they have not found the fault!!! if i get stranded once more will email the japs and if need be the courts!....

seem to be some problem with the power generation for charging.May be the stator coils are producing less than stipulated voltage or connector loose connections between the coil and the RR unit.......still not expected ,or acceptable in the bike.

Hi, is this problem sorted out.

To ......Superbike owners, have you guys faced such kinda problems with the other bikes like R1, ZX10R, Gixxer or Ducati. It would be really useful for us who might buy such bikes in near future.

In the first place YOU don't need to worry about what the problem is. 14lacs for a bike and thiss... ! B.S. Eat their brains out and warn them that you'll shoot an email to Honda Japan. Make them change everything possible related to this problem.

                            No the issue still continues,

The bike went dead again on 17th December post yet another complaint On 25th of December the Magnet and starter motor was changed and I was assured that now the bike is perfect.

Now they will change the harness & the ABS module!!! learning on my time.
