getting a custom built bike passed by the RTO is virtually next to impossible.Originally posted by sherry_unicornlover View PostAnd how legal are the custom build bikes in India?
but an owner of a custom bike wouldn't really face any issues tho.
legal issues usually begin if the engine number doesn't match the bike's documents..

Actually i am still having problems with a previous bike as the chassis number was later stamped and the RTO officer straight away refused to register the bike. Recently i was able to get some work done and somehow get it registered but its still not complete , with the brokers asking more and more money to complete the registration.Originally posted by xionite View Postyes... of course.

^^ yea. it can be a pain.Originally posted by subhayou View PostActually i am still having problems with a previous bike as the chassis number was later stamped and the RTO officer straight away refused to register the bike. it's usually best to get any registration done before you begin any mods.
insurance too...since the bike doesn't need to be inspected (post mods) if the insurance hasn't lapsed..
