      but an owner of a custom bike wouldn't really face any issues tho.

      legal issues usually begin if the engine number doesn't match the bike's documents.

                Actually i am still having problems with a previous bike as the chassis number was later stamped and the RTO officer straight away refused to register the bike. Recently i was able to get some work done and somehow get it registered but its still not complete , with the brokers asking more and more money to complete the registration.

                  ^^ yea. it can be a pain.

                  it's usually best to get any registration done before you begin any mods.

                  insurance too...since the bike doesn't need to be inspected (post mods) if the insurance hasn't lapsed.

                    I actually learnt all of this from the previous bike !! And yup u have to get all of this done much before u get started with any sort of tinkering with you motorcycle.

                        A very very neat and good mod job... im sure wouldve cost a bomb.. but the end result is totally worth it!!
