They checked out my valve synchronisation but otherwise a standard service. I opted to change the oil and filter even though the oil change is required only at 12k kms.

Total cost Rs.3008/- including oil, filter and service charges.

Has anyone else done their second service yet?
a question from typical indian mentality: how much mileage is maintained till now?? pardon if anybody feels irritation for asking about mileage for a heavy ride..
also what was the top speed you were able to achieve??

I was able to touch 200KMPH (204 to be precise) on the NH4 on the 5th gear, the bike was stable enough, just as I was going to plonk the 6th cog, I saw the display and scared the crap out of me. I admit.

Mileage varies between 16-21 on the style of riding

nice.. 200 in 5th.. just thinking how much it can do on 6th..?? as per some youtube videos the top end is near about 214.. but even touching 200 is cool

            • The 5th gear seems to be the ideal gear to hit the max speed. 6th is more of an over ride gear but in ideal conditions should do 210kph.

Did a 180+kph in Jaipur road - I dont think 200+ is a viable option in our road

              • Noticed a Ninja 650 on Wednesday evening in Big Cinemas, Kalyani Nagar, Pune parking lot. Is the owner a forum member?

From a distance I assumed the green bike to be a 250. Was actually trying to search for a minute whether the number 650 is written somewhere, before its unique mono shock and almost invisible exhaust helped me out!

Looks like a very practical bike guys. The seat esp the pillion is big and wide. Nice choice folks whoever has bought it!

                          • Visited the ProBiking showroom at IndiraNagar, Bengaluru last week... No info. yet on the 2012 Ninja-650.

I've already made them crazy with my repeated calls of enquiry for the past 3 months though...

                              • A quick question though:

How much value would ABS as a feature have added to a bike like the Ninja650?
