Re: Lock Stock and One smokin Green Barrel : 2012 Ninja 650
@zimbly and other 650 owners: I have booked a Ninja 650 and awaiting delivery. i have got a few queries
1. I plan to use my kwacker for daily commuting as well as pleasure rides over the weekend. How according to u 650 will fare in daily office trips in peak traffic. How flickable is it?
2. How about low and mid end torque?? do we need to shift down frequently? i am upgrading from C-500.
3. Anything i need to be aware of or be prepared for? Like any niggles or issues u faced during your ownership??
4. What mileage can we expect in city and in highways.
5. Maintenance and upkeep costs?? I guess normal petrol should do just fine with the bike?

Re: Lock Stock and One smokin Green Barrel : 2012 Ninja 650
The naked version of the N650, er6n is supposed to be launched. Kawasaki Versys 1000 and ER-6n heading to India soon | Bike News | Bikes 800cc-1000cc | Autocar IndiaOriginally posted by vipin_lalla View Postplanning to buy Ninja 650
Should i buy now, or is there any news for 2014 N650 coming to India ???
If u are interested, u can wait for it and it should logically cost less than the N650.

Re: Lock Stock and One smokin Green Barrel : 2012 Ninja 650
Hi I drive around Cochin and traffic is bad here, But ninja 650 did surprise me with the ease which it handles in a traffic jam. It's an everyday sports bike and very comfortable one too. Hope this helps):

Re: Lock Stock and One smokin Green Barrel : 2012 Ninja 650
Hi All,
I own a KTM Duke 200 and I'm looking to upgrade soon.
Ninja 650 is on my radar.
But the thing is that I'm against owning a smaller bike just for office commute in Bangalore.
So how practical is the Ninja as the only mode of transport?
Or am I better off waiting for fully fared version of Duke 390 which is rumored to be out next year?
Ninja 300 doesn't sound like a good value for money to me.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Mr ZMA, I've done about 3500 kms, and have never gotten more than 23kmpl. Either in the city or on the highways.
Sachin stuck to the 4k rev limit for the first 1k, which could explain his figures. However, I do not see the bike giving any more than 20-24 kmpl.

Hey Nicky, just posted about it on the other 650 ownership thread.Originally posted by nicky_cool_dude_2004 View PostI had posted in the other Ninja 650 thread, but got no reply..
I'm contemplating to purchase of the 650 soon. I'd like to know what are the security measures which you can take. I stay in a society, where people are interested more in whats happening in my house rather then theirs, so I'd like to take some security measures for the new bike. Any alarm system that will avoid unnecessary fidgeting with the bike or anything of these sorts. Thanks in advance.

..Originally posted by Sachinnair View PostIt was good to catch up with all N650 & N250R owners in one place. Loads of fun and had a good time.
Yesterday, after meeting you all I continued on my run in ride.. Covered 470 kms yesterday at 4k rpm. In one full tank I covered 350 kms when the final bar came in. 12 liters of petrol went in so around 29kmpl delivered during run in. This will of course change once I ride little more faster after service
My final leg of run in will be tomorrow. I'll ride till Charoti Naka and return home.
