First road damage -hit a freshly minted pothole at 100kmph-damaged the front steering head bearings and the rear rim-the rear rim will be covered by insurance but will have to shell out for the bearings-also changing the tyres to higher profile ones -the rear 150/70-R17 instead of the current 150/60-R17 and 110/80-R17 replacing the current 110/70-R17Dad's Bajaj Super-1983-1989

Rear alloy changed under insurance-payout Rs525.
Front fork bearing changed-Rs1500.
New 110/80-R17 front and 150/70-R17 Vredestien Tyres fitted-Rs13000.(old tyres were good for maybe 5000kms more-given them to an employee for fitting on his Hunter350)

The VREDESTIEN tyres are as rigid as bias ply tyres-The OE Alpha H1 were much more supple and provided a pillowy ride which combined along with the suspension provided the bike with exceptional balance of ride and control-the VREDSTIEN's have a hard edge to them-have lowered tyre pressure 3psi at each end to compensate but it is a compromise at best-wish Apollo comes up with higher profile H1's to suit riders such as me whose everyday ride encompasses broken roads.Dad's Bajaj Super-1983-1989

With the bike nearing the 16000kms,the chain sprocket set was replaced @Rs4500.Have been riding the bike a bit slower these days ,but surprisingly the mileage remain the same at @25kmpl
