yamaha fino
Side looks retro and lots of round shapes
Wide grab handles in the back make it convenient for females and elderly to hold tight
Fino badge and Classic sticker on both sides
Has a kick starter, CVT cover color and Springs are Black color and look monotone for the otherwise two tonned colored body
Storage space under the seat is very small and shallow and can fit only small items, Helmets have to be hooked outside the bike
Since this is the classic version of Fino it comes with brown color seat and hand grips, unfortunately hand grip color fades after awhile
Rear design is round and mostly ever part of this scooter is oval or round
Rounded polished mirrors to match the overall retro design
Switches are easy to use but somewhat feel thin and not chunky
Only two round gauges consisting of speedometer and fuel gauge
Front end reminds us of the old Lambretta
Dear all warm wishes again from Indonesia. Here i am trying to give a small review about my current bike Yamaha Fino which is a popular bike in the far east.
I am not aware weither this model is available in India but since this is a popular bike around here thought i could contribute something here with the best of knowledge i can and hope it could be of some use here.
This is a 2012 model Yamaha Fino or Mio Fino which is basically a Yamaha Mio with a retro shaped body but same frame and engine of the already best selling Yamaha Mio.About 3 years ago retro styling started to get popular here hence Yamaha thought of
bringing in a modern bike with retro look in competition to the already selling Honda Scoopy. This is a automatic scooter built mostly for city use with a engine of 115cc delivers good acceleration and the CVT (continuously variable transmission) is quite smooth doesn't jerk much being an automatic.
Let me put some pros and cons of the scooter from the experience
Pros:
-Nippy acceleration of the proven Yamaha engine
-Smooth CVT
-Decent ground clearance
-Stability is quite good for an automatic scooter
Cons:
-No safety side stand switch or side stand Indicator
-Mileage is not the best when compared to its rivals
-Storage space is not at all useful for storing big items like helmet ect
-No brake lever lock on the handle (useful when stopped in incline)
