hmm interesting...can some one give details as to why precisely motul ..also something i have been meaning to ask you guys im planning to go for a piggyback RD after 1000km (i know many feel differently ) has anyone done it over here ...i can take few notes from ...
my reason- rc200 has enough power to easily attain higher RPMs and higher speed and i desperately seek that while keeping the acceleration part intact.

ps - i hate ...like detest it when i hit the rev limiter ..
and no im not sprocketng the bike to get the higher speed...

Motul is recommended by KTM (India), I think they might have a tie up or Motul's product meet KTM's requirement. Piggyback RD is a good option, even I'm planning to do it but not so early. You might search in Duke 200's thread to get more information on this. As many members have tried it and it should be good for RC 200 too (I think). I haven't heard about any Piggyback done on RC 200 or RC 390 threads so far (I may have missed). Also, if you are planning to do it in any near future, please be the first person to report your experience.

Guys from Bangalore can you please help me find a good Paddock stand for my bike, I desperately need one. Showroom guys have two models and they look good and affordable pricing too, but one of the member said they are selling the cheaper ones ( Balgi ). However, I would like to know what are the disadvantages buying this one or can you help me find a reliable but easy on pocket ones?

Congrats on deciding! Nothing technical about initial 1000's of KMs, I haven't pushed her hard or reached the top speed yet or felt the speed limiter crap. I just wanted to feel that the top speed is not enough or the speed limiter is a killer for this bike (like you felt). Till then I'm gonna ride happily. BTW, please share the pricing info, connection instructions and where you are planning to get it. Probable RD will be couriered to you from Bangalore (guessing).

KTM RC Ride is getting better !! 900kms done as of now

Wrist Pain - it has reduced after driving for a month.
Riding position - Feels normal . not much stress on body as of now
Foot Brake lever - found difficult to access initially but feels better, but not feeling best.
Vibration - Ya for sure it has reduced a bit now
Power- Pushing up-to 6.5 k RPM. will hold on till i complete 1500kms.
Brake - Front disk has more bite than rear break !! so better confidence while applying break.

QQ - do you guys use the HighBeam light as well during night ride within city. because with low beam only one bulb glows and i feel its missing something !!
Both lights glowing has better appearance aesthetically !! is there any possibility of getting angel lights in near future !! will it look good !! welcome your comments.

Congrats! I just complete 980 KMs, just 20 more. I never had complaints about wrists, shoulders or back except my bottom. I still don't feel comfortable with my seat. After first service the bike feels well sorted out. I am maintaining speed till 7.5 - 8k RPM max. I feel more confident than my RX to flick in traffic at good speeds. The only issue is with the protruding mirrors. I had a couple of close miss of car brake lights, I have even stopped the bike just by a hair's width due to miscalculation.

Yes, front brake gives a confident feel, back brake just skids, skids and skids be it any speed. I apply very little pressure on back brake, mostly I stop with front brake and engine braking. Yesterday had a good company with a RC 390. This guy was fast but not terrifying other road users. On straights he had the lead (almost all the time), but curves he was panicking, thats were I holded the game. I did a lot of homework on how to do sweepers. I started with my RX as soon as I decided on KTM RC. On my RX 100 I have Yezdi wheel at the back so it gave me more confidence than the stock wheel. BTW, yesterday's was not a road rage or street racing. We were just riding, when my turn came I showed off and he did the same on his.

I use dark tinted visor on my helmet, I rarely use High Beam. I feel Low Beam is more than adequate for city ride. High Beam is very powerful, it could blind oncoming traffic. Please don't use High Beam at least in city. You feel missing because one light is off and looks odd. Yes, both the lights lit will look way better than one, +1 for this! Angel lights inside a headlight cluster will look good, but ours is already exposed don't know how it will look.

5 days and have clocked 600km waiting to cross 800km for first service...
rear brake has a tendency to skid definately but its only in bumper to bumper traffic i prefer the use of rear brake cause the front brake dive tends to put stress on the wrist ...
and as joe marvy said engine braking is quite an essential for braking....

i found myself short on a rpms in every gear while cornering as a result i decided to enter corners (sweeping long ones ) in a higher gear ...
result good exit speed ...has anyone else noticed this ...you will always need to shift the gear in middle of corner if you enter in the "perfect" gear..?

5 days and 600 KMs, please add more five days and complete 1000 KMs before giving service. Because the next service is after 6000 KMs or 6 Months.

You feel shorter on RPM because you are in the RPM Shift limits. I don't prefer shifting in the middle of a corner as it might disturb the course a bit and when you engage the clutch during shift the speed differs. I always enter in to a corner with a perfect gear to ensure enough engine braking or acceleration as required and shift while exiting.

hahaha yes joe i know why i am shorter on the RPM i was merely asking if there was someone else out here who felt ktm should have changed gear ratios since this was an attempt at a track oriented bike ....no one ....trust me wants to shift in the middle of corner when you are relying on the left or right shoulder of the tyre with lots of weight ...and try it next time enter in a corner in the perfect gear by the time you will be out you would be redline like nobodies business...in short i just think that one corner = one gear ..
ps- just read again you do shift while exiting ...hmmm
als i think you are right about the 1000km part
what if i just go for an engine oil change right now

Yes you could do that and I would recommend it if you are performing a run/break-in with Motoman's style. If you are following KTM manual's run-in method then you could do it after 1000 KMs.
