    Prologue:cost factor
Looking at the interest rate I started searching for more viable options and came across IDBI bank.
    1. Rate of interest 10.25% reducing balance.
    2. ZERO processing charges.
    3. ZERO penalty for foreclosure after 6 months.
    4. Tenure 5 years.
    5. Minimum loan amount has to be 1.2 Lakhs. No issues there.
    6. Total cost incurred Rs.500 for stamp paper.

Thanks! Tank capacity is around 16 ltrs. Bonneville is extremely comfortable for the pillion as much as it is for the rider. I'd do a small write up of my first ride with pillion soon..

Re: Meet ""Stealth"" My new Triumph Bonneville drenched in Phantom Black!!

Yesterday me and some friends went for a ride to Lavasa. I was accompanied by an Impulse, a Kawasaki Z800, Pulsar NS 200 and a Ninja 250R.

A total of 200 kms ridden till yesterday.

Here's my two cents about the overall ride experience:

Riding Comfort, Seating Ergonomics: The seat of Bonneville are very comfortable and has ample space for the pillion and the rider to move around and not get cramped up.
The suspension is a bit stiffer but not that it would be something to be complaining about. The only care to take is when going over a speed bump if you do not slow down you tend to get a bit thrown off from the seat. In such a situation absorbing the impact with a little effort from your legs is a possible remedy.

Throughout the ride the pillion had seldom had to grab the grab rail and this is a good sign. A pillion sitting with his/her hands tightly wrapped around the grab rail fearing to let it go is always a warning sign that the ride may not be comfortable for him/her.
For the rider the seating position is very relaxed but not as relaxed as a full fledged cruiser. The foot pegs are appropriately placed to offer a semi sporty like riding position. I did not feel any discomfort in legs. The handle bars are not too narrow and not too wide. They are just perfect to offer a nice cruising experience when wanted and also to offer a sporty experience in case you want to do a speed dash. I was amazed at how flick able the bike was. The max speed I attained was 100. Being in the run in period I did not rev the bike much or go for higher speeds. The absence of the tachometer leaves the rev limits to your imagination.

Performance: Cruising through the hills of Lavasa was an amazing experience. Once we left the traffic of the city behind it was only the smooth roads with little or no traffic and I used only the 4th or the 5th gear all the way. Only on highly steep slopes did I have to shift to the 3rd gear. The bike pulls the same with or without pillion and you won't feel even a tiny bit of a difference of whether you have a pillion or not. The engine is very smooth. A little twist of the throttle and the bike lunges forward with that sweet bassy parallel twin sound.

Coming from a N250R and as per the habit I leaned the bike on the left corner and my foot scrapped the ground. The bike has ample ground clearance for some casual cornering but it cannot be compared to that of a sports bike. While leaning the bike on the left you have to take care to bring your foot above the gear shift lever. This allows considerable clearance for a lean. Into the corners the bike was totally planted, steady and never did I feel that it was going out of control.

The Metzeler tyres are just amazing. They have an amazing grip and instill a lot of confidence. Be it riding on gravel, tar roads or concrete roads the weight of the bike and the Tyre combination make it a very stable bike. I simply love it for that.

The ground clearance was sufficient enough and I did not scrape any bottoms until the very end of the ride on a horrendous speed bump near the Toll naka on the way back. So you have to careful on speed bumps. The only fear I have is that for the oil filter on the bike. It is placed right at the bottom of the bike which seems to be the area most prone to damage in case the bike bottoms out on such speed bumps. For that I am considering fitting the skid plate which would partially cover the oil filter and protect the bottom.

While returning we left Lavasa at around 10.45pm. This allowed to test the headlamps of the bike. I felt the lower beam to be a bit focused covering just the road from left to right. The higher beam on the other hand is not a focused one but a more like wide spread light illuminating the whole area starting from the very front wheel of the bike. Together they offer sufficient illumination of the roads. I found no problem riding at night with these.

A few pics to go with this:

                            The little not-all-good part:
I rode the bike through bumper to bumper traffic yesterday at 12 noon and I have to say it got pretty hot. I could see the shadow of the heat fumes coming from the engine. The metal tank also got extremely hot. Now I have to consider buying the rubber side panels for the tank so that my thighs don't get fried.
Until I get the lockable fuel cap installed its going to be a worry to park the bike and leave it unattended. The accessories have yet to be stocked by the dealer. Hopefully they would arrive by next week.
The shift from the neutral to first gear is a bit clunky right now. It gives a loud 'thudd' sound when shifting. The shift of other gears is very smooth.

Other than the above I have no complaints for the Bonnie. Its a totally distinct ride experience and I always wanted a bike like this.

I would be happy to answer any queries, apprehensions, doubts of prospective owners who are in a dilemma as 'To Bonnie or not to Bonnie'.
