Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

        Early Morning Ride to Thindivanam

Hey Guys, Had a weekend breakfast ride last Sunday. It was close to a 100 kms one way. Have posted some pics on the main thread. It was a big group for us normally it's around 5 or 6 this time it was close to 10. Of which 2 were ZX-10R's, 1 Ninja 1000,2 Z1000 the rest were Z800's. Started around 5:15 am the weather was perfect. It hinted as though it would rain but overall very beautiful. Started from Chennai and various rides joined along the way by the time we set off it was close to 5:40am. We rode close to an hr before we reached our destination. Traffic was a bit thick considering it was a Sunday morning. We had some nice stretches along the way to Thindivanam ,Haritam hotel which was our breakfast spot. Had a nice heavy breakfast and as we were about to leave saw a few other fellow riders who came in. Their stable mostly had the quarter liter bikes I think. Was nice to see some more riders we were not the only ones. After breakfast we clicked some pics and we were on the way back. Mid way we stopped at location to click a few more pics and we headed back. Most people headed back to Chennai using GST. I was heading back to my in laws place as we had camped there for the weekend via the Chennai Avadi by pass. Just as I was entering the by pass I was pulled over by the early bird traffic cops who were eagerly awaiting heavy vehicles. One cop asked me "where am I coming from", I didn't want to explain the whole charade to him and told him I was coming from the airport. If you are familiar with that road the entry point from the airport and GST were different , I had actually entered the airport road to say bye to our lead rider and took an U turn back into this bypass so he bought it. He also exclaimed " One more bike just went by without stopping were you both racing " to which I replied " Sir, it is very easy to assume anything in life may I know why have to asked me to stop". He said " We had reports of racing being done in that road so we stopped you". Then I asked him " So can I leave " Then his supervisor walked along and he asked " How much does this bike cost " Told him "Around 8.5 lakhs " Immediately he said "What about mileage?" Showed him the Avg indicator , it showed around 19 Km. Then he looked at his constable "You should get your son this bike when he grows up " obviously being sarcastic. The constable just stood there with a big smile. Just to speed things up I decided to show him my Airport ID card, Just a background my client is the Airports authority of India so everyone working there needs a Airport entry pass which is cleared by the police it has its perks. After I flashed that I could see a change in behaviour. Then the SI asked " Why are you wearing racing attire " Told him " This is just for my protection riding such a powerful bike demands for this, also went on to tell him the police should mandate safety gear for all motorcycle riders as a helmet alone in not enough these days and especially for traffic cops who ride all day in the sun and rain ". He then smiled and exclaimed "Don't joke , even a helmet our public is finding it so difficult to wear on hot days and you think this gear should be mandated " While this was happening the other constable was trying to take a photo of the bike told him he can stand near the bike and I will take it, He just smiled and gave the camera to another junior constable and posed near the bike.I couldn't take a photo as my phone was almost drained and my camera wouldn't come up otherwise it would have made an interesting picture. Once he was done i started wearing my gloves back on, bid them good bye and headed to my in laws place . It was an eventful ride though a short one. I've added some pics in the main thread .

                    Re: Kawasaki Z800 Ownership Experience

                    Hello guys,

Hope everyone's doing good. I'm looking forward to get myself a pre-owned Z800. I'm not interested in the Z900 as I've ridden them both and found an instant connection with the Z800. So far, I've not seen any owner report any issues online for the Zed. Since the bike is in the market for long enough, can someone shine some light on any issues they've faced over time(easy to live with or critical). Also, it would be a lot more easier if someone could shed some light on the ownership costs and availability for stock/ aftermarket consumables like the oil filter, air filter, clutch plates set, accelerator cables, starter motor(if needs replacement), chain and sprocket set and any such parts which could have gone wrong or reach their end of life in the ownership term. Also, if any issues with respect to engine which anyone would have come across would be of help. It helps me look out for any issues while looking for a pre-owned Zed and also analyze the weight if any of these were to be handled by me.

                    Thanks in advance!
