Hello all,
I was getting my dominar ready for trip, so was connecting bolt charger to battery,
I connected the -ve first and then +ive, the one with red cover. However had sparks at +ive terminal, I had not noticed that the ignition was on. However I turned it off and connected the +ive first and then -ive and everything went well.
After I turned on the ignition the display showed some errors , I could not really read them as it was quite fast and the trip meter and clock had reset.
I this a normal behaviour that the reset happened.
Charger works fine, bike rides fine. But just asking for confirmation.
Nothing to worry. As long as that alphanumeric code doesn't repeat itself and you don't see the MIL lit upon every start you're fine.
Is it normal to have this brown coating on the front end of the exhaust pipe?
Here are some photos of the exhaust pipe
It's normal. Nothing to worry per se, when the exhaust bend pipe is subjected to high temperatures eventually they change color. The same goes for matte, blacked or chrome exhausts, they all change color.

It's good of Bajaj to replace the entire engine for peanuts. Actions like these are what helps spread the word, this is where the rubber meets the road. Understanding the customer, no BS given, and he's lucky to have it replaced such that whereas in some parts of the country, people are sweating their arses off in an SVC to change a chain tensioner.
The difference is night and day in many parts of India, but, this guy should thank his, stars, forefathers and all in between for getting this fixed.
