Oh! That is terrible to see and that is terrible luck. Hope you get the parts soon. That will be a good indication of how Ducati's service capabilities are.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Yes Monk, it was terrible indeed to see her like that. I have the habit of locking the handle bar to the opposite side of the side stand...I guess due to the fat rear tyre getting deflated the bike tilted to the right due to the handle bar being locked that way...sigh...lesson learnt...now i always park and lock in the same direction as the side stand...
Ducati did a good job in ordering the items without any down payment and everything came from the factory in Thailand...Sadly the tank that came in the shipment had an almost imperceptible dent in it on the underside...the management refused to put it on my machine and a new part was ordered...Since I am presently out of the country I haven't been able to get it fixed...

Back home...met folks...brother visiting from oz too...good times...got the bike cleaned up a bit...removed the battery tender unit and fired up the engine...sweet sweet music to the ears instantly...wow....took a short spin in the colony...rear brake seems poorer than normal...everything else just as I left it 3 months back...

Went for a shortish ride around the city of Dehradun...looking for some good stretch with little traffic...some 50 odd kilometers...

Its sad to see how we have good roads now even in remote areas of the city but there is so much dust and pollution even there...it seemed as if a sandstorm was in the brewing...

Hey there, GT welcome back, after a long time indeed. Curious to know, the expense related to the replacement of the fuel tank.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                            THE END
