Re: Ducati XDiavel S Ownership Experience
For every item they tried to convince me to opt for something else...even though their website showed everything as In Stock they kept telling me my ordered stuff is not available anymore...and then I had to send them links to websites where it showed as available...quite weird

Re: Ducati XDiavel S Ownership Experience
It has been a year already with the devil...and the strongest feeling I have is that I am not riding it enough...of these 12 months 6 have been out at sea and I have almost 4000kms on the odo at present...but even if the odo read 10000 or 20000 kms I am sure I'd have the same feeling...it is such an exhilerating feeling everytime I swing my leg over it...
I guess I should mention some important happenings in this one year of ownership....
1. I graduated from the Urban Mode to the Tourer Mode after the first service at around 850kms mark. So it was a boost from 100 bhp to full 156 bhp. I enjoyed the thrill it offered but also was unsure whether I will be able to handle the power...I am now considering moving on to the Sports Mode to get a taste of what is in store!!!
2. I had mentioned earlier also about the almost defunct rear brakes. They were even worse this time around when I brought her back to life after 3 months of hibernation. So I made a mention to the technicians at AMP Gurgaon about this and we decided to bleed the system and adjust the brake lever a bit. And for the first time now I feel confident and satisfied with the rear braking...
3. There has been a recall on my XDS in the month of February. It was due to the brembo front brake's master cylinder piston suspected malfunction. It was done free of cost at the Ducati service center Gurgaon.
4. Except for the damage to the fuel tank and other accessories due to a fall, I've not spent anything other than the expected mandatory service costs. The bike has performed flawlessly putting to rest the reliability rumours doing the rounds.
5. Ducati is offering an extended warranty cover for 2 more years after the regular warranty expires. It is indeed quite handy.
The guys at AMP Gurgaon have been proactive in extending help and support during this 1 year. I am sure it will remain the same moving forward.
I have not been on any long distance rides and thus a lot remains unfulfilled but this is just the beginning of a long relationship I am sure...just the thought makes me smile...
