Hey Barney, Thanks for the crowbar mate!

I just found a pack of Moto Max rubbing & polish from my stash of maintenance, and voila... it seems to rub & polish the swirl marks.
      Looks much better now.
it seems it has silicon filler just like meguiars ultimate compound...
Will try for sometime and let you know how it goes...

Did I say its cheap..? just 50 for a small bottle.

That's Good Gordon. I too used Moto Max on my CBR250. Its really a good product for the price. I have orderd some more stuff off Amazon. Will post results of the polish soon. I spend the entire Saturday polishing the bike.
1st service is coming up. Planing to switch to a 140 section tyre. Not happy with the current tyre grip.

A Chennai, India made parallel twin being compared to a Japanese made retro machine

"Despite their nearly identical performance on the dragstrip, the small-displacement 650 feels livelier and has more on tap, not only on the freeway but also around town. Cracking from stoplight to stoplight, the W800 just doesn’t spring away with the same vigor as the Continental GT; throttle response and clutch feel are less crisp and the extra 30 pounds is noticeable. The underdog Enfield takes the win in the city with more spunk and character.

Heading away from the ocean and into the mountains, we expected the W800 Café to come into its own on winding roads, challenging the Royal Enfield as the pace quickened. Once again the Royal Enfield out-performed the Kawasaki. The same issue of tube-type, bias-ply tires and spindly frame has the W800 Café moving much more under the rider. Any sort of bump upsets the chassis, inducing a wiggle that makes it hard to maintain a consistent pace and cornering line."

Man i used to keep the bike till 70 kmph, no sudden accelerations and let the engine warm up for a minute before heading out. I followed this till the first service and now i just ride freely, haven't crossed 100 kmph, will do that after crossing 1000 kms. It's a 650 cc engine running on fully synthetic oil, no meed to worry after first service

A fantastic and fun Sunday 701km ride. Started at 530am in Nolambur, Chennai. Reached Nagercoil at 330pm. Completed in 10 hours including 90mins of total small water breaks, fuel top ups and lunch. Last 75kms had heavy wind gusts which slowed me down a bit.

How I wish there was a cruise control. Fantastic long distance companion this INT 650. The occasional overtake blast to 120-135kmph is too easy. Fuel spent ₹1900. Fuel economy averaged around 28.5-29.5 kmpl, since I mostly was in the 90-110kmph range. What aided me physically was foam earplugs and gel padded bicycling shorts, highly recommend for long tours.

                      Odometer at 5150kms..

                      Cheers!

Bike refused to start, made the tik tik tik tik sound on pressing the starter. That is normally indicative of low battery voltage, same issue used to plague my classic 500. Called RSA and had it delivered to the workshop because they said it also might be the wiring harness or something else and should be hooked up to the diagnostic tool to be sure.

After checking everything they've submitted the battery under claim for replacement, will take 4-5 days though since it's currently Ganpati season in Mumbai. Hopefully it should be fixed by this Saturday.

Has anyone tested and figured out the discharge / recharge rate of the 650 twins with the halogen headlight always on? It used to be one of the biggest issues on the classic 500 where the bike wouldn't recharge fast enough if the light was on. Contemplating installing the BS3 switch if that's the case.

Hi everyone, booked the INT 650 ravishing red on Dec 28, 2018 and got it delivered on Feb 14, 2019 through RE company store, Coimbatore and the whole buying and ownership experience was wonderful. I have clocked around 4500 kms till date and recently after reading about the handlebar wobble past 60-70 kmph, I just wanted to try it and to my shock found the handlebar to wobble very vigorously past 60-70 kmph when I remove my hands off the handlebar. With my hands on, there is no problem. I was surprised and shocked and immediately took it to the service center. They test rode it and confirmed the wobble and did wheel balancing, alignment, test rides, etc etc and finally changed the front tyre on warranty. The bike was in company service center for almost a week for analyzing the issue. I thought it would be fine after the tyre change but to my surprise it is still present the same way after 60-70 kmph. They have not found the cause yet and I am reluctant to leave my motorcycle again to the service center as they may keep it there for analyzing the issue for an indefinite time period. I agree RE service is far better now and their response and service is satisfactory but I think the motorcycle itself has this manufacturing defect and they are unable to find the cause. I doubt this wobble starts post 4000 km in the odo and the Pirelli tyres to be the culprit.

Does anyone else face the same issue and is there any solution for this problem? I find this a rare case and unable to take it an ordinary issue. Please help.

                            Thank you so much.

Even i have faced the same issue of handle bar wobble.I got my bike delivered on April and now i have covered 8K .I had to visit Teknik Motors(Indira Nagar) thrice and still they couldn't find the issue. On further escalation and producing a video to service center and in YouTube and in twitter, RE reached out and the Project Manager(Nikhil) himself came down to check on the bike. Further they replaced the front tyre(at 6.5Km).They where planning a meet with the Pirelli team on the issue. However, Now again i am facing the same issue but in much lesser amplitude. I think RE still Needs to figure out what is happening to their flagship. Also, since the bike is providing such a good experience in every other terms (Performance, refinement)i expect RE to figure this out !!

Did they check front forks alignment and coneset bearing. Sounds like a fork alignment issue if not the wheel and tyre.
I had the wobble at high speed leaning but it was resolved after alignment/truing of both front and rear wheel.
Also make sure to get the wheel balanced on a balancing stand after the truing(spokes alignment) and make sure you are not missing the pre installed weight. While getting the balancing done remove the pre installed weights.
But my guess is still with fork alignment or coneset bearing.
