Hello All,
Bought my interceptor and have just done 100 kms. Loving it. Have a question please. The idling on cold start is almost 2000 RPM and settles down at 1500 RPM after a minute or so. I read on a couple of forums that the RPM should be around 1500 at cold start and settles at 1200. Not sure if I should attempt to change the idling or await first service at 500 Kms. Request clarification.

The ECU automatically increases the RPM based on air temperature to make sure the recommended RPM is maintained for a cold start and engine warm up. So, unless you have a problem with the warmed up idle (after the the cold start RPM shoot up) there is absolutely nothing to worry. All EFI vehicles will shoot the RPM to a preset RPM unless the required engine temperature is obtained. Noting to worry.Originally posted by Balaboy View PostHello All,

Guys, Wanted to ask
I want to change the headlight to aftermarket LEDs similar to Bullet aftermarket ones. There sre 2 parts to it
1. LED headlight both low and high beam
2. Indicators with seperate wiring.
Head light part is plug and play but indicators wires needs splicing of wires.
In càse wires are spliced what can go wrong that may require me to use warranty. Some issues I am ok with paying without warranty. I dont want any issues with ABS or the ECU (two major electronics in the bike). Rest all are minor ones i think.
Need suggestions

Hi Guys, Left palm and fingers and shoulder is paining a lot when i nibble in traffic. What could be wrong. It is a new bike just a week old. Can the handle be bend or fork gone wrong? I checked the air pressure and it was good. 33 front and 39 back.

I used 1 Inch Risers to raise the Handlebars. You can get it done from a local shop. This will help you sit in a more upright position thereby reducing pressure on your Wrists. 1 Inch Risers will cost you Rs 50 each. Raising by 1 inch does not require any cables to be adjusted. In my case the Clutch cable angle changed so I just loosened the screw and bent it outwards a bit. How is your clutch play is it too tight , if yes then get it corrected and move the levers downwards so that your wrist would rest in natural position not bent upward, and keep the elbows bent and have a relaxed grip on the bars.Originally posted by yezdian View PostHi Guys, Left palm and fingers and shoulder is paining a lot when i nibble in traffic. If these doesn't help then ask your service center to slightly bend/down the handle bar towards you , last thing to try are the raisers.

You will lose full warranty on every electrical item including the ecu and all relay etc so stay away from slicing or cutting the wires and find some good mechanic who can custom make the required couplers/ connectors for the job.Originally posted by RR310 View PostGuys, Wanted to ask

And one more thing the led headlight popular with twins and other bullet riders doesn't have good throw of beam it falls very short when compared to stock beam.
First try a good bulb like Philips Xtreme vision or osram night breaker which would work in stock h4 socket and give you better illumination.
And another thing is that the yellow beam is helpful in winter and rains. Yellow Peirce through fog better than white leds.

Got delivery of my Baker Express finally. It's been quite an experience so far and I have this crazy itch to open up the throttle! I've completed about 450 kms and after a quick short ride tonight I hope to give her in for her first servicing tomorrow.
Now let's come to the problems, or rather I would like to know if these are problems or whether they're things I'll have to live with, or hear the service center guys say "Sir yeh aisa hi hai".
- At times I hear a "khat" noise from the front (T-stem too loose/tight?)
- While riding, the handlebars feel very loose compared to the previous bikes I've ridding. Not sure how to explain this. I was hoping to atleast compare with the test ride bike at the showroom.
- Not a great gear-shift experience and plenty of false neutrals. I've seen lots of people mention this. Has anyone been able to get help on this?
Let's see how I enjoy this style of riding after the CBR.
Also, how do you clean the spokes after your monsoon rides? How difficult is chain maintenance with the silencer on the left side?

1 The kat kat is from the front Disc/rotor as it is riveted to the disc spider and has some play to aid the braking. It is called floating disc. You can check it by moving it by your hand.
2 Steering or Handlebar on interceptor is very light as the weight is center to rear biased and this helps in easy maneuverability in traffic and taking u turns.
3 seems like incorrect play in clutch get it adjusted , mine is smooth and precise from day one.

Taking tight turns is soooooooo light and simple on this as compared to the CBR. Isn't this a hindrance when going over bad roads or mild offroading?
