Update: 4000+ kms and 8+ months

As of now, I continue to remain totally impressed with my Interceptor.

So far the only issue faced is a failure of the Speedometer. At around 3850 kms, the speedometer totally stopped functioning. The needle would do its usual sweep when the ignition is turned on, but nothing more. I called to the service centre and was told to bring the vehicle as they cannot commit anything with out having a look. I set up an appointment for a Sunday. At the service centre, the service engineer, took a video of the issue, and submitted it to the company for warranty claims. In a couple of days , the service centre called back saying that the warranty claim had been approved and i could visit anytime to get the necessary repairs done. I visited next Sunday and the speedometer drive was replaced. The meter itself was was functioning fine and needed no replacement, so my odometer count did not get reset. The repair work took about 45 minutes. The entire process was hassle free and was indeed very impressive.

Other than this minor issue, i have not yet found any fault with my Interceptor. It continues to give me a smile every time i sit on it and i am always looking for reasons to step out and ride it!!

It's not a good idea to wait for the bs6 version imo, primarily because the prices will definitely go up owing to the stricter emission control and the associated improvements/parts needed to keep pollution figures in check. This could also mean slightly lower power figures than the out going one.
And the most important thing.. have you seen the exhaust on the BS6 650s mule's ?

Hey All!

Has anybody noticed a wobble on the front end when going beyond 90 kmph? I felt it on one of my rides, and if you just slightly leave the handlebars it's quite visibly wobbly. Haven't noticed anyone having mentioned something of the sort on this forum so far.

Similar to what is shown at the start as the highlight in the following video. Not as violent, but somewhat. That guy attributes it to the topbox e.t.c that he's added to the bike but I have no such thing.

surencameo, did face the same issue on his new motorcycle and eventually got the the wheel assembly and some nitty gritty replaced and he seems to have sorted the issue. Go back a few pages, and you can read the issues about the wobble and the procedures carried to rectify it. It won't mean, you will have the same problem, it can be due to other reasons too, but it should give you a base to start with.

Do the front suspension of the GT/interceptor bottom out on potholes or speed bumps? Because my Gt clearly makes thud sounds on them and i remember reading about this issue here but wasn't able to find that thread again. Anyone else faced this issue or if found any solution?

I have the same problem with my Interceptor. Felt this all the more during a recent ride to Harsil where the roads were really bad and there is a clunky metal noise every time there is a harsh bump. No solution so far.

They'll update it with BS6 model i think, and they won't even thank us for being the Guinea Pigs. May be increasing the amount of fork oil will help? Getting them little bit stiffer

Looking for Helmet recommendations between Bell Qualifier or MT Revenge.. (₹9000 Range).

Have tried MT Revenge twice for a short ride and there was very little to complain wrt noise till around speed of 90.It felt rock solid.

Hi, I too faced the same issue of vigorous front end wobble post 70-80 kmph and the front wheel assembly was changed and the issue sorted out. The assembly consists of front wheel with disc and tyre coming pre-aligned and balanced. This is for sure a manufacturing defect and you can get it sorted out. Thank you.

Road condition is very pathetic in my area, lots of potholes but i didn't felt suspension bottoming out . I had changed rear preload to level 3, cause level 1 at above 80 felt the bike flying, but that caused feeling potholes much more .After 4 month again i changed to level 1, now it felt kind of planted, i think the suspension kind of tightened by itself, pot holes and humps are no longer a problem and felt the same as it were on level 3(1 is the softest) . And for gt i believe the front is soft and the rear is stiff. so as you said you may have to stiffen the front stuert in his latest video has mentioned about changing to a heavy oil, or try softening rear , may be the bike will adjust all by itself IMO just a suggestion .

Guess what. My main worry came true. The service center guys said sir high speed pe thoda sa wobble rahega. The company does not suggest taking your hands off the handlebar. [facepalm][facepalm][facepalm][facepalm][facepalm][facepalm][facepalm][facepalm][facepalm]

But he said that during my 5000kms checkup they'll check it out since I'm saying there is a problem. I'll probably look for another service center anyway.

One thing I did notice though on my bike. The wobble occurs only during speeds between 80-95 km/h. Post 100 it goes away oddly. Was this how it was for you as well?

Has anyone here considered wiring the headlamp to switch on when the engine switches on instead of the ignition? Like how it used to happen on the Pulsars (Not sure if it's the same now).

Thought I might as well check here before delving into it.

I Have Booked Interceptor 650 Orange Crush on August and after full payment for the bike last week got Digital RC

the Manufacturing date on RC is 5 month old from the date of registration

is this generally happens ??
