1.If possible always use an old sack or a carton box underneath the wheel when doing the repair. Helps prevent rim and lip scratches.
2.Always, always make sure you keep the rotor side as up as possible. The rotor is pretty strong, but the ABS tone ring, can in fact get nicked and bent and your ABS signal would throw up in your dash.
    3. I see you were slipping with the tire here and there, unnecessary waste of muscle power, in that case, rest the tire towards the wall and slowly work your way, this way, the tire stays in place without moving, and all your torque output goes to the tire repair and not fighting it moving here and there. It's tiring, don't ask me how I know that.
    4. The tube pinching is due to tube not being pressed fully, it can sometimes get locked with the tire rod while installing and rip the tube, rendering it useless. So, make sure the tube is pushed all the way in and when you're rodding, you rod only the tire bead.
    5. Get yourself a rubber mallet and this thing is very handy for such instances. It helps you tap the sides of the tire with force, yet soft enough for the tire to squeeze inside the rim.
    6. Fantastic job.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the input Vj, would keep these in mind next time. And yes i did kept a thick rag under the wheel and kept the rotor upwards which also helped me in locking one iron under it.

And now I know how you know it[emoji12]
    Thanks Again.

    Regards
    Inderjeet.

On Facebook INTERCEPTOR group one guy upgraded to 150 width tyre instead of stock 130 section. The tyrewall had space from swingarm. This will really transform the stance of the bike.

Clearance from left side spacer and swingarm is barely there it is almost touching the chain guard , and the width of the rim is not sufficient enough for 150 section to get full shoulder profile. I have checked this on my friend's tyre shop.
Any seller would gladly sell and fit the wider and costlier tyre even if it is the wrong fit.
If u care to read replies from international owners on the similar query then u would read comments like messed up sensor readings and handling.
India is one place obsessed with fat tyres without doing full calculations. Check out Abhinav's bike on insta he is running fat rubber in 17 inch size but his rims are also wider and smaller.
Stock rim best upgrade is always one size up.
And stock perilli are good enough to lean the bike to its maximum possible lean angle.

I know and agree. To each his own. If someone wants to go with 150 section then their choice.

Got the fuel tank magnetic ring installed today. It was an hour's work which involves removing the fuel tank and fixing the magnetic ring with some adhesive as per the service manager. Just an update for all you fellow riders.

Anyone got a chance to see the updated Twins with clear lens headlamps. Want to know if replacing the glass will take care of illumination or going for aftermarket headlight.

The ones who have seen it claims that the reflector dome is also different but no one has seen the illumination at night, this is like the US version and this clear lense and fork reflectors are present on US version since day one.
I suggest wait a while for some to get delivery of the new updated bike and lets hope they provide a video or some kid of feedback on this.

Took delivery today, ravishing red. Rode almost 80 kms in all types of traffic. A total hoot to ride, like they say, a ton of fun.

                        1. Mild vibrations on handlebars and from side of fuel tank.
                        2. Headlamp is clear lens. Nice visibility in night. Although upper beam is focused a little bit higher than my expectation.
                        3. Engine heating is bearish for now.
                        4. Haven’t crossed RPM 4k mark.

Congrats , beam can be adjusted for focus. If possible do share a video of headlight on a pitch dark location.

                            Hello Friends,

This comes as 8 Months / 5500 km ownership review:

I have not faced any issues with bike so far. I was a first time RE buyer, quite skeptical of quality of service. However, in all honesty, I found RE service and support so much better!

Starting with Motorcycle: I have done both city rides as well as long rides clocking 300-800 km in a single day. On a touring day, I get mileage anywhere between 27-31 depending upon how I ride. For city rides I have consistently gotten 24-27 Kmpl.

One small glitch I had was during a ride through a very heavy down pour and side-lights / hazard lights stopped working for about 3 hours. I let the bike sit under a shade and it was good to go like before.

I am going to change engine oil (+ Oil Filter) now as I intend to prep it for winter rides. But that is by choice. I will also change air-filter (Stock).

Stock tyres are doing well. I have done fair share of rough roads, highways, mountains and tarmacked surfaces with no issues.

It will not be far from untrue, if I said, I am a conservative rider in that I am almost never throttle heavy. Only doing top speeds very sparingly. I prefer sitting on saddle for few more minutes and enjoy the ride rather than speeding away to destination.

Oh, BTW I have changed exhaust to Red Roosters and am quite satisfied with what I invested in.

Hope this helps! Have any specific question? Shoot.

Good one , keep it up.
As per RE the oil life is 10000kms but changing at 5 to 7.5k kms would be good, still get it inspected first. I also found this stock air filter to be less clogged as compared to ktm or Dominar, could be the design of air box snorkel.

                              Keep riding and enjoying.

My engine MIL light has come on again after the light showers this week in Mumbai will go to the SC after Diwali to get it checked. Ride quality wise nothing has changed, bike is responding fine. Probably the same O2 sensor that was malfunctioning the last time acting up again due to moisture.
