[QUOTE=Ijs;1382354]thanks, much appreciateOriginally posted by intr650 View PostWell you can take reference to my headlight beam video and compare the throw and beam angle at both high and low beam. If there is no scope for adjustments and if it still feels wrong then could be something wrong with the bulb or the inner reflector for the dome.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
The MIL went off a few days ago, guess the moisture evaporated.Originally posted by Ijs View PostHappened 3 times with me that too without any moisture or shower, nothing came out of DOL tool (obd) diagnosis. And last time it was on for 3 days. Since then nothing. No issues in running or performance. Looks like it has a mind of its own. Service guys associate this with fuel pump error but again it was good.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Only outex kit for now, but people are charging exorbitantly for it. There is someone in Chandigarh who does this outex kind of tubeless conversation at 1/4 price of what is being asked currently. And 3m super strong sealing tape with 3m marine sealant works as good as outex tried and tested by many adv riders in us and other countries.Originally posted by intr650 View PostAny news about alloy wheels from RE.
Two puncture in 1 month really getting frustrated

, solution any?

But if any spokes gets lose or damage then it will tear the tape.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Ok, so I am not the only unicorn here. Buddy what I did was write to RE on their official email address, they escalated this matter to the nearest SVC. They contacted me and asked me to bring the bike in for checking. Unfortunately I have not been able to do so yet, but once the odd/even rule is taken off in Delhi, I will take it to SVC. I suggest you write to RE as well.Originally posted by intr650 View PostAny news about alloy wheels from RE.

Thank you, not much choices, nothing much to do other than wait for RE to come up with any solution. iOriginally posted by Ijs View PostOnly outex kit for now, but people are charging exorbitantly for it. Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Hi guys,
Had the second free service done a bit early around 7300kms at RE Company Service Center OMR, 6 months after 1st service. Also, mainly because one of my friends gifted me 3 litres of Motul 7100 10W50 Ester based engine oil, which I'm planning to change to around 10k or 11k kms.
It's been a ton of FUN ownership experience so far. Be it gruelling bumper to bumper traffic in the scorching summer or continuous long highway rides, the Interceptor handles everything thrown at it with utmost ease. It's never given up on me not even once. It can go a fair bit off-road too without changing tyres. Like their stunning California advertisement it lives up to the 'Easy Got Back' charm.

I love the reassuring strong bite of the front brakes and the linear but addictive acceleration in the first three gears when your open the throttle. I really like the stock exhaust sound too. I can rev bomb anytime anywhere for my aural pleasure without annoying anybody. One of the best stock horns on a motorcycle, very apt for Indian traffic.
Yes, the stock seats need a bit of firmness in foam and a bit of width in the central region, planning to do that soon. For now any rides above 200kms I where gel padded bicycling shorts to relieve pressure points. It significantly increased my butt comfort and endurance for long rides.
Only two mods I've done so far,
1) Adding good quality perforated badminton overgrips from Decathlon for the handlebar. This has enhanced my palm comfort and grip for the less than 10km slow city rides without gloves.
2) Freeing up the air intake unit, by opening up the snorkel eliminator. It has improved the induction sound nicely and slightly increased the overall fuel economy by (1-2kmpl).
Fuel economy hovers around 22-25kmpl in city rides and 29-30kmpl in highway runs(below 120kmph). Have kept the rear preload at 2nd step since the beginning. It has improved the handling in corners and high speed stability too.
The only niggle I faced so far was a defect in the speedometer cable which was replaced with a new one immediately.
Royal Enfield Chennai organised many ride events for the 650 twins, though i managed to attend only a couple. I also found many like minded riding buddies.
On the whole, the 650 twins have a character that satisfies your soul and makes you look forward to riding, be it a sprint to buy eggs in your neighborhood street or a Sunday morning ride along the coast.
Few pics from last Sunday's off-road ride to Gudiyam Caves and Poondi Dam

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Thanks for Post!
I just changed engine oil to Motul 7100 10W50 after 5600 Kms. Since oil change, Engine not only has been running smoother, gear box has become very sharp and precise.
I wonder why did I not change oil right in the beginning.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Here is another video from the DIY series, this time Motorcycle battery removal and installation. Process would be more or less similar on all Motorcycles. This is full process real time video.
