Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Yes, i will be purchasing a 500ml version of the same to top the extra 100ml. Our Interceptor holds another 50ml too. Totally 3150ml seems to be the capacity.Originally posted by Ijs View Postjazzysaravana good going keep it up. Make sure u put 3.1 ltrs oil when you do the Motul shift as this is the recommended quantity.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
It's a very simple DIY. Attaching reference images of our air intake. The snorkel/ air filter cover is blocked/designed this way to reduce the air intake induction noise as per EURO norms. By removing the top portion, we give a more free access to air. You just have to use hacksaw/cutting machine just for one bit of the starting point, then we can easily peel the plastic with our fingers.Originally posted by surencameo View PostOnly two mods I've done so far,
2) Freeing up the air intake unit, by opening up the snorkel eliminator. It has improved the induction sound nicely and slightly increased the overall fuel economy by (1-2kmpl).

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Wow, that's great to know. All thanks to the ESTER base of the oil. I'm tempted to get it done asap now.Originally posted by panchalh View PostThanks for Post!
I just changed engine oil to Motul 7100 10W50 after 5600 Kms. Since oil change, Engine not only has been running smoother, gear box has become very sharp and precise.
I wonder why did I not change oil right in the beginning.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Got my Int650 yesterday evening. It was good to see the newer model was delivered to me (the two minor update - Clear glass headlight and reflector on forks).
Took 3-4 KM ride home. Since the Regt number is expected by Monday, I have one day to go through the manual in detail.
As coming from Duke200, I felt the weight of INT650 considerably. Also, I am able to realise now why the footpegs positioning issue was such a issue for everyone. However, I think I will be able to adapt and get used to these irritants.
I was told to keep RPM less than 2000 till 500KM. However, I find even riding in city traffic at 30-50KMPH, the RPM meter hovering between 2500-3000.
Also any basic tips during run in period.

First power band kicks in at 2.5k rpm keep that ur upshift point for now and stay below 4k rpm. Be gradual with throttle and do not hold one rpm for long. If going on log ride then do not ride at one constant speed for long keep changing the speed/rpm. And do not rush the throttle input.

+ let the engine warm up for a while before riding on, give the engine a minute to warm up and for the oil to reach all parts of the engine.Originally posted by Ijs View PostIgnore the below 2000 rpm advise [emoji23][emoji23].

Basically unlearn the Duke mannerismsOriginally posted by Ijs View PostIgnore the below 2000 rpm advise [emoji23][emoji23].

I came from the Duke390 and boy there is so much of unlearning to do on this one, specially during the run in. On the positive side, the bike will compel you to ride in a more sedate gentlemanly manner despite the amount of power on disposal(at least it did for me).

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
So following Ijs, I too sold my Dominar 400 some months back.
Was not considering any new 2 wheeler since the 8 year old Activa is serving all the local activities.
But the motorcycling keeda will never dies. It is just like a virus. Re-surfaces when the ideal conditions are met
.
So I called up Sangam RE (Sahibabad Industrial Area, close to Delhi) and they said that I can see both the Int and GT at the same time.
I had called Asco Motors, Patparganj and they did not had a GT there. So I went to Sangam with a friend and when I reached, I could neither see any GT or Int.
The showroom guy said that the GT was sold yesterday and Int has not come for 2 weeks. I frowned and said that you could have informed me when I called.
He said, please share your name and number and we will call you once both the bikes are here. I was angry and decided to visit the ASCO motors.
I again asked if there any Int or GT in service area since my friend wanted to see them first hand.
He said: INT to nahi hai, aap Himalayan dekh lo.
I was like, please give me a wall and I will bang my head. He said, come to service area and I will show you the GT.
We followed him. Saw a GT 535, all messed up as it was there for ages. I shouted asking if this was the CGT? he was like you asked for GT and here it is.
We left and reached ASCO motors. This showroom is on another level. We were very well greeted and were offered Water and Coffee.
We asked to be left alone for some time so as to see all the REs. We saw 3 INTs there. 1 in display and other 2 in stock (all Ravishing Red).
To my surprise, the bikes are available without any waiting period. Pay the money and take it home the same day.
The stock is old. It did not had the clear headlamp glass. I asked for the new stock and he was clueless about the new changes. Probably, they have been asked to clear up the old stock.
We took a test ride and surprisingly, no one accompanied me. This was new to me.
I am 5'5" and was able to ride without any issues. Dominar felt more uncomfirtable than INT. To my utmost surprise, the turning radius is lesser than Dominar.
I had CL350 before Dominar and never had any issues with it so I have been a happy RE owner. INT really surprised me. Despite being heavier than Dominar, it is more agile and more fun to ride.
Has anyone tried Indimotard’s GREASEHOUSE Customs' touring foot pegs?
