    Re: KTM Duke 125

Oh dear, finally! Just to ask the rhetoric, why did you sell the 125? Not using the R3 much or planning on upgrading?

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

So do you think buying a d125 was a bad idea?
If yes, then i agree with you.
After buying it and using it for a good 500kmsI realised the big mistake that i had made.
However, I sold it because of financial need.
I may not buy another bike but sell even the R3 due to further financial issues.

Not really, each bike has a character of its own, so is the rider. Though I hear you on that one. Secondly, crisis is a sucker when it hits ones life and especially to a biker where it reaches to a point to sell ones beloved ride. I hope the ride stays with you, and your issues sorted. Take care.

        Cheers!

Very less activity and lesser enthusiasts for the Duke 125. It’s just got a 2021 update finally shedding off the old looks and adapting to the new Split Sub Frame lineup like its older siblings. I for one am happy to own the 2019 iteration and now after a year and having clocked 10k+ kms on the baby duke, I do not regret one bit about being downsized in the displacement diaspora of the world. Yes it’s has it’s lows, and literally lows is what I mean, but not low enough to outshine its value for money proposition. The hardware on tap is simply too good in the segment and also a segment up in terms of 150-180 cc bands. Having missed out (read endless delay and my patience wearing thing) on the Xpluse and the 390 Adv I delved into the world of Orange. I never liked the 200 in its old avatar, but the 125 pulled on my strings. I happy with the service and maintenance costs, most of which I DIY. But another year will see my Duke 125 getting transformed into a Dirt/SuperMoto. I am even keen on over sizing the bore and piston especially when it the same that’s been done to belt out 75 CC’s and 8-10 more horses on the Duke 200. Will post some pics and current mod details later to help current and aspiring 125 Riders.

Indeed. Would love to hear your oversize mods. In case you bite the bullet in the future, don't forget to tabulate the detailed strip down of your experiences.
