Well anyhow, recently i visit to HH service center and i found around 6/7 Glamour Fi bikes for servicing. Even on road i am seen many of them...they all are new models (after recent modifications)

Well, to be honest am not getting much more out of the bike other than the mileage which is great. I get 60-65 in city and abt 75-78 on highway when driven in the 50-55 kmph range.

For people wanting some good power and grunt out of their bike, this may not exactly be thing that you're looking for, but for a refined engine and a great mileage, this could be the thing. This is basically a commuters bike, but yes, you can rely on the engine and the smooth nature of the engine. Ride's comfortable as well.

I couldn't help it because this bike was a gift from my dad, but now he's got a CBZ and the height and the weight of the bike is a bit awkward to him. So i've thought of getting that and giving this bike to him.

Please post some comments on the performance and the maintenance of CBZ. I love the sound(read absense of sound) of that bike.

I am in a confusion to buy either this PGM-Fi or Honda Stunner(1st version)
                Some say stunner gives 60kmpl.
Some say Acheiver is better choice because it comes in same price but 150cc.

What do you say about this?

I'd say go for achiever. Coz in bit long run, the 125cc mileage will match that of 150cc. Better pull up some money and go for 150cc.

The Honda Stunner is a much better package overall over the the Glamour PGM-FI. Of course, if mileage is of top priority, then the glamour takes the cake. But if there are other factors in consideration, like handling, riding comfort, looks, etc. then the Stunner would beat the Glamour hands down. the mileage isn't too bad either. I know a friend who gets around 62kmpl in the city and a little more on the highways. In my opinion, Glamour has dated looks, and the Stunner is a far better looker of a bike than most in that class.

Achiever is just another bike from the Hero Honda stable with the Unicorn engine plonked in it. Its dated, doesn't have monoshocks, transmission is still not as refined as the Unicorn, and is close to the end of the production life anyway. If you are looking for a bike with the Unicorn engine, then get the Unicorn itself. That's an evergreen bike. Its an excellent bridge between city riding and touring and does both with aplomb.

And yes the achiever is no more in many shops! I like to go for Stunner.
just missing those new sensors and displays from GlamourPGMFi.
                        its okay!!

                          hero honda glamour 2011

                          hello friends!!!!!!!
i just bought my first bike hero honda glamour after a long research. i researched hero honda hunk, cbz xtreme , honda stunner and bajaj pulsar 135. after reading all the stuff on the internet and talking to the real owner of all these bikes finally i come to the conclusion of purchasing hero honda glamour as it fullfills all my requirements and gives the best mileage in is segment.
finally i booked my glamour 10 dayz back and got the delivery on 2nd july. new glamour look far better then its predessor. i bought black with sports red colour as it was more appealing to me in looks as compared to others.
                          ownership review :-
looks:- its one of the best looking bikes in 125 cc segment(talking about the new one). as wherever i go every one ask me about the bike and tell me it looks really very nice and decent

colour:- the new colour combination are really very attractive.

meter:- the new glamour is installed with the digital consol which shows the odo, trip and petrol level meter

performance:- the performance of the bike is really very impressive. there is a bit of increase in the power and pick up there is no vibration in the bike and the sound of the new glamour is totally diffrent from its earlier version. it now sounds like hunk. most good thing is that there is no vibration when you are riding on high speed. the front mudguard shape is changed and made more broad from rear side which is useful in the rainy season don't let the muddy water on our clothes. the throttle is also very sensetive.

power start:- the power start or self start is very impressive just a touch to start the bike and no cold start problem yet faced

headlight:- head light is also very bright in comparison to the earlier version

mileage:- i had 1.5 ltr petrol in the tank. 500 ml given by the dealer and i refilled it with 1ltr and drove the 94 kms till now and don't know how much petrol is still left in the tank

overall the new version is very good and i m vey happy to buy this bike. i will post the pics of my bike in next update after 15- 20 days.
thanx hope it helps all the reader?
