Definitely. Moreover I believe they have a DIFFERENT training schedule. They might not have to make their abdomen strong but surely they have to make their neck rock solid. A little insight into F1 training: Fitness of an F1 driver - F1technical.netEnna Rascalla. Mind it !!!

Eggxactly.. these guys have to train harder.. remember Shumacher's bull size neck.Originally posted by Aparajith View Post^^Just a question. Do the F1 drivers train as much hard ? I guess their training should be harder for all the G-Forces they encounter.
At those g - forces evry driver loses abt 4-5 kgs weight after evry race. Same should be the case with MOTO GP riders i bliv .Start the day with your dream , end the day with your dream, in between work hard...

They should just know how to ride a MotoGP bike, practice hard on the track, push the machines hard round the corners, brake late....blah blah. But, one of the important aspects we generally ignore is how these riders are trained for the season.
Check this articles to get an insight on How these riders are built:

Teaser info: Dani Pedrosa does 1000 sit-ups per day before the season and 700 sit-ups per day during the season. So much for the little one. This is just the beginning.
