And one more silly mistake my friend.Panigale is not racing in 2012 WSBK series. They are still gonna ride with 1098 R. They are racing the Panigale in World super stock in 2012.

And thanks for the thread mate !

          One more oops
Need to get my facts right!!
Hmm the reason Althea Ducati being a privateer team with only some backing from Ducati factory?

Removing the panigale pic from original post

Thats how Duke works . They check the competitiveness at STK assess whats required to go strong in WSBK and then join the next year ! They did the same with the 1098 !

              Marking my attendance...,

              Continuing from the old thread...
Thats there.. but i see it form 2 perspectives!

              1. Machine : I agree with u on this and from history kawasaki is known to produce Widow makers like the first 750 ! The turbo bike ! the 2004 Zx10r and the 636 which was one of my favourites .

              2. Rider: Some riders really have odd riding styles and when these kind of riders team up with twitchy machinery it is gonna leave everybody else wondering how did he do it. After imagining how the setup would have been I am amazed as much as the journo as to how he won in Nurburgring

One more info if u did nt know Canepa was one odd man too. He had a thumb actuated rear brake ! since his feet was too huge !
+1..., the biggest example of odd riding & twitchy machinery - Casey on the Ducati...,

Also, I first heard about the thumb actuated rear brake when I was reading up Doohan's history(after assen crash)...,
even I don't have any feel for the rear brake (not that am comparing myself with a racer...) and use it only sparingly with front brake...,

last I heard Canepa was in Moto2..., lost in the crowd..., hope he does good...

              Happy New Year Guys...

Feels sad that there isn't a single R1, even as a pivate team, in the grid next year :-(
