20 minutes? I thought it was for a 3 hour session!!! 6.5k for 20 minutes is daylight robbery!!
SARCASM ALERT:Heck Speeding tickets are cheaper! I would rather overspeed on the street than go for 20 overpriced track minutes!!Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

It is a Formula 1 circuit after all, which translates to one of the best tracks in the world, the prices are at par with foreign track days, at silver stone it is 100 pounds per half an hour. I am sure track enthusiasts wont give it a miss. And comparing a track day with speeding around in the streets is insanely naive, wonder where all that " we ride safe " thoughts went.

The overspeeding bit was obviously sarcasm (Which everybody else obviously understood).Originally posted by themadrussian View PostIt is a Formula 1 circuit after all, which translates to one of the best tracks in the world, the prices are at par with foreign track days, at silver stone it is 100 pounds per half an hour. Anyways, as per the older report published in TOI on 29-March 2012,
Now, take your car for a spin on Buddh International Circuit - The Times of India
HERE^^^
It mentioned
== 11 hours"In each session 30 fans will be able to take their personal vehicles for a spin around the track. The cost for a single session has been pegged at around Rs 8,500 and if a person books its for three session, he'll have to shell out Rs 20,000," the official said.
For bike-riders, the charges have been pegged at Rs 6,000 for a session. The Open Track Day will be between 7am and 6pm.
4 x 2 hour sessions. 3 for cars, 1 for bikes, 1 hour gap between each session is the math I did mentally on 29th March 2011.There will be four sessions - 3 sessions for cars and one session for bikes.
So these 30 people will not be on track together then? So 120 minutes / 30 people = 4 minutes of exclusive track time for > 100 pounds? I feel thats slightly more expensive than Silverstone. Each session will see 30 fans driving their personal cars on the track.
So the guy who pays 20k gets 12 minutes? For cars, the price for a single session will be around Rs 8,500. If a fan books himself for all the three sessions, he will have to pay Rs 20,000.
for the 4 minute session. For bikes, the price will be Rs 6,000 for a session.

I emailed jaypee sports and was replied with the details, hence this information. You cannot get an "exclusive" joyride on the track, 20-30 riders will be riding at the same time, obviously with some gap in-between.
4 minutes is not even two laps.

It still seems expensive. I did a track day at the Yas Marina - Abu Dhabi F1 circuit and the track day cost was AED 725 ---- Rs. 10964/- cost for the helmet was separate. This was for 3 sessions of 20mins each. Unfortunately this was in a car. I wish it was the bike instead.RX 100
MV Agusta Brutale 750
