Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is a race being held at Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, USA, since 1916. The race is a climb from the base of the peak at 9390 feet and climbs through 156 turns to finish at 14110 feet. The entire circuit is of 12.42 miles (19.99 km) in length.
The biggest challenge in this race is the reduction in pressure of air as one gains altitude. This effects both the rider and his internal combustion engine. The electric motorcycles will have an advantage here as they will not get effected by the change in altitude.
Zero Motorcycles will be the company to race its motorcycles at the PPIHC. It will race in partnership with Hollywood Electrics.
