    Track day at Kari Motor Speedway - Coimbatore.





    When I say first, myself and balenopower had been riding together to Lonavala/Amby, Igatpuri and some nearby places around Mumbai. We once did Mumbai-Goa via NH17 and we just used to wonder how much better than this will a race track be?







    Got ourselves enrolled with the group of Ninja 650 owners on one of their excursions at the Kari Motor Speedway - Coimbatore. Myself and balenopower had the Ninja250's but we decided to rent ourselves 2 R15's from Apex Racing as it was our first outing and knowing us, we didn't want to risk it.

      so how much is the charge for renting bikes from apex racing..?

      and can anybody take those bikes for rent..??

        It was approximately 7,000 for the R15's for a full weekend and of course they were rented from Apex racing. Anybody whose done a track day once, can take their own machines the next time around. Transportation can be cumbersome though. The other aspect is track insurance. Need some clarity on that.

          can u plz share other details, like whether a full leather one piece suit is required of not, can we do it in a two piece riding gears we normally use. what are the charges for using the track. etc.

            Sorry for replying late. Was busy riding in the Himalayas. 2013 has been a satisfying year in terms of biking hobby. From track weekend to riding in the Himalayas to commuting to work in Mumbai.

            Coming back to your question, its better to have as much gear (Full leathers) as possible as Human skin is obviously more important than animal skin (oops, sorry, but bikers cannot afford to be any kinder here). Leather protects you like none other. If you are asking me about the mandate, then one must have riding jacket, full size gloves, helmet, knee guards, riding boots, all from a well known manufacturer.

            So i guess a 2 piece should be just fine as long as it has all the above mentioned protection.

              There is a upcoming track day by the sbk club (Cotton City Throttle ) and Bangalore Ninja owners group on Kari @ 14,15th sept

                Hey emothic, i am very much aware of it and was offered to participate as well. But i guess i will have to skip this time around. Hopefully next track day with the same group.
