• MMSC TrackDay Invite

Hello friends.

I would like to invite any of the xbhpians who are interested in doing a track day at MMSC or KARI motor speedway on any of the upcoming days (preferably a weekend). The plan is to reach Chennai/Coimbatore the previous night, stay there overnight and enjoy the track day the following morning and return home by evening. Please let me know if anyone's interested. Cheers!!!

Requirements at MMSC:

1. Full riding suit. I'm not sure if they allow separate riding jacket + pant. Knee guards NOT allowed!
2. A fully functional motorcycle. Tires must have enough grooves. Sometimes, they inspect your bike first to give a green signal.
3. All vehicle docs in original + 1 xerox copy. (DL/insurance/PUC etc)
4. A tankful of petrol and lot of time.

Kari is lenient in a few aspects.

1. Full riding suit not required. They allow separate riding jacket + pant.
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!

My bike is in good condition and both the tires are almost brand new. . . PS: Bike's old Honda Unicorn with spoke wheels, so doubting will they allow or not. . ?

Absolutely not! MMSC is very strict with their rules and full riding suit is a must!

Kari on the other hand is pretty lenient and details are given by Divya Sharan above. Btw they do allow knee guards but not the fake ones I guess.

OT: Not sure if i am missing anything here, You don't have possession of a Valid DL and you run a Biking team Team 72 ?????? Not doubting your riding abilities, but you are definitely sending a wrong signal out to the world. A perfect recipe for cops framing everybody to not follow legal rules, if you are caught and the biking team is highlighted. This is for your own good.

The Team's closed bro due to no cooperation from the riders and also some of them coming without gears and it's been closed for some time. . . Yes I don't have a DL but I have been riding since 7-8 years. . . Due to some problems and other things, I didn't get it done, will get it as soon as possible. . . Earlier I used to be like all other fools out there not wearing helmet, etc., but from some time I have changed and now I don't go out without wearing at least my helmet and gloves and almost for my daily commuting, I do wear good leather jacket along with it and I am sorry about that, will get it as soon as possible, I know the importance of it. . . Even when I had my Team, I never used to promote anything bad, except that I don't have a DL, I have all other things, will be getting that soon. . . Sorry again. . .

Cheers!!!

@Rakesh Rok, as the other people have pointed out a full ruding suit(one piece leathers) is mandatory at MMSC but I remember them allowing a 2-piece riding suit for one of the riders who attended the California superbike school sessions in 2010 and also for the Yamaha riding clinic a couple of years ago. (I know this because I had attended those). May be they're much stricter now. (It's been a good couple of years since I've been on track after a crash I had during the riding clinic) Anyway, let me know if you get hold of proper riding gear so that we could rock the track day!!!

If you really want to join, you could rent a track ready R15 from the apex racing academy. I do not have the full details about this but I remember reading it in some threads here in XBhp. Cheers!!

I cannot join this time bro, I don't have proper riding gear, and besides, I need to learn a lot before I can actually hit the tracks. I will join you in future events(if there are any) once I get everything worked out.
