Help - Is there any place in and around Chennai where we can LEGALLY have drag races

    Help - Is there any place in and around Chennai where we can LEGALLY have drag races

    Guys, desperately need your help. I have started a Youtube channel dedicated to automobile related videos, most of the videos will be related exhaust note and safety tips. Occasionally we are planning to have few drag races, is there any place were it will be possible to legally have it without any disturbance. I would also like to know if its legal to have drag races in private roads(non residential areas). Just riding with proper riding gear is enough to land us in trouble now a days

      May be you could try the old Cholavaram airstrip which is mile long straight AFAIK (the one from Unnaipol Oruvan). But that requires some serious negotiations from Govt authorities (you know what I mean :P). There are very less private roads unscrapped in Chennai. It will pose serious threat to the ongoing traffic and lest someone complains, you don't want to get in trouble.

        Unfortunately my pockets are not deep enough for any kind of negotiation, but I know few people who own good stretch of road with proper compound wall, I might be able to shoot with their permission and close the road completely. Only problem here is that I must be sure that it is not illegal, else the land owner could get into trouble!
