    Thread Approved

What a writeup. Loved it to bits

Was this your first time with the CBR 600 on track?

Also could you share the layout of the track with approximates of the speeds you take each corner at. Thanks!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

      Lovely write up Harry paaji!

Its so nice to see you enjoying the motor the way it is meant to be. Also, with Rossi right on your tails, you must have had to ride real hard too.

hahaha that's right. I was afraid he might "kick" me out of the way!

Monk, Ive been to the track a few times and this was my second time on the CBR. Its a bit hard to pinpoint the speeds I go through at each corner because I rarely look at the speedo but i'll try. Here's an image of the track

The main straight is almost 1KM long and at the end of it I'm doing around 250KMPH. I back off slightly for Turn 1 and downshift into 5th. I'd be doing around 170 in the middle of Turn 1 at full lean then accelerate down to Turn 2 before braking very HARD and downshifting into 2nd for Turn 2, which is the slowest corner on the track. I really dont know what my average speed would be through there, maybe 60/70/80. Short shift into 3rd gear as you accelerate into Turn 3, which is slightly uphill and blind, you cant see the exit. Then down the hill you plunge before backing off and braking slightly for Turn 4, maybe 100KMPH, turn 5 is about the same. Brake hard for Turn 6, one of the most dangerous corners as there's a concrete wall straight ahead, which is a bit distracting! Then rev out 3rd gear as you charge up the hill into the blind left hander Turn 7 doing about 150/160 without being able to see where the corner's going, just trusting your memory! Turn 7 is fantastic really, possibly my favourite. Long and sweeping uphill left hander, dragging my knee all along it, its wide and great for overtaking. Then plunge down the hill for Turn 8, a downhill right handed U-Turn which I think is the hardest type of manouevre in motorcycling. I've seen many people low-side here. You're only doing 60/80 KMPH but its because you have to brake so hard for this turn and then try to look for the exit, which is behind you, that it's so tricky. Then flat out in 3rd, sometimes able to get to 4th if I get really good drive out of Turn 8 before backing off for Turn 9 & 10 which are a quick chicane. Lean the bike maximum over as you approach Turn 11, the last corner and its critical you get on the gas early here because your top speed on the straight is determined by the amount of drive you get out of this corner.

Then you put your head down, tuck in and hold onto your rocketship!

I've got adrenaline flowing through me just writing this as I visualise the track. Hope I was able to convey some of the excitement!

Wow, what a walk-through, rather should I say ride-through the circuit. I am not an avid follower of the MotoGP or any such racing for instance, but it felt so nice to hear/write about the track.

            Awesome brother.
