Perhaps you need to re-look your lines as well instead of telling others that they don't need to.

    lol i agree!!!

as i said... no effort from me --- all effort from the bike... i never claimed me to be fast.... he he
what i meant there was, carmille could do much better on an r15 without any extra effort.... i never commented on anyone's lines my friend....

Thanks Sajiv for those great photos.
My first track day and boy was it fun and hot!!
Took the first session easy thanks to that oil spill by a car at C2. Concentrated more on getting the track layout into my head. The RTR handles fantastic and i dont need to reiterate that The current state of my bike.. left footpeg shaved off so much that the feelers are missing and the right one is getting there.
Big error was not to get my time noted for the long loop.. I know too much for a first timer but would be great to get an idea of where you are

The front straight was where i would keep backing off initially around C1 but in the last session made it a point to go all out. Favorite corner would be the set of them just before the bridge. (Sajiv any pics of mine from there?) And found the never ending loop kind of boring . My ported speedo showed some really optimistic speeds on the back straight. But as the day progressed, the heat started increasing, i ended up riding every 10 mins and resting/drinking water for the next 20mins. Had 2 slip ups but was overall not many scary moments... probably thanks to Lavasa in Pune!! Want to do a track day a month so looking forward to the next one.

Of all the bikes, just loved those blown out RXs. That sound.. orgasmic! Everyone in the pits would plug their ears while i would run out of my pit to hear them wail past!!

A big thanks to all the chaps i met - Albin, Alex, Shankar and Sajiv. Had a memorable time!!

Best time on short loop is a late 1:14 on group D (stock class) R15 by myself and anya racing riders (yamaha supported team). Best short loop time on RTR (again group D) is mid 1:15's by myself and a couple of TVS racing expert class riders. Best full loop time on completely stock R15 (no weight reduction) is 2:15 by myself and anya racing riders. Group D R15 which is 20kgs lighter after weight reduction will be atleast 1 to 2 secs faster on the full loop but we dont race group D on the full track so its never been checked.

Thanks for that info Killer, long way to go

On question, when you lean through turns in succession, how do you do it smoothly. The transition from one side to another turns out to be very haphazard and you end up losing time. Probably practice is the best solution?

                    Cheers

Yes practice makes perfect, theres been lots of discussion around riding techniques in the past, do a check on the forum and i'm sure you'll find something. Ultimately though, i cannot advise you without seeing you ride. Good luck
