i stayed till the last..the sbk drag's were awesome... one of the hayabusa spun out... iwould have uploded the picks long back,but my stupid bsnl does not work from 7pm to 7 am and many websites r not opening...RED BULL did'nt give me WINGS, my BIKE did !!

Just back from Hyd after a dreadful journey.
I have never faced anything this tiring for a very long time in my life. It took us 1250kms to get to Hyd from Bangalore...thanks to the floods and downpour everywhere. All others almost gave up and we kept getting alarms to not proceed, but my drive kept me going. The roads were bumpy and bad that my Fiero ended up with a dented tank and a broken visor and a damaged fairing.
However it was well worth the efforts, in a way.
I could not finish my much planned works on my karizma due to lack to time mainly. hence ran a set-up which was never tried and tested.
In the 130 to 165cc 4-stroke class, I won the class with a timing of 15 secs and an exit speed at 400mtrs of 140kmph on my Fiero.
My Karizma with some controversial scenes ended 3rd in the upto 260cc class finishing a few 0.3 secs behind a comet which was ridden by 2 riders. having no weight reduction done on the karizma, it was a risk i took. never mind, there is always a next time.
However I'm happy with my result on the Fiero and it was the first Indian 4-stroke ever to clock 140kph in a drag race. That was with a conservative launch (coz fuelling was not optimised for hyd, hence mild engine knocks) and shifts at 10500rpm only. With a little better launch and higher peak shifts, I could have broken the 15 sec barrier and comfortably got into late 14s with the given set-up.
I was only wishing I got atleast one chance for a trial run before the race. Since all the bangaloreans were stuck on saturday, the organisers did not give us any run. I could have done much better if only I could set the fuelling right.

I though they wont be coming, But good to see them at the race, sad part was that their races were over by the time we reached the venue.

joel that 140kmph exit speed is awesome as 2 strokes do that exit speeds never expected that from a 4 stroke i guess TVS factory racing bikes has that exit speed please correct me if im wrong
