Lovely pics there man. Must've been a blast.

Too bad you didn't have an R1 to compare with. YOu'd have jumped back to the Blade if you had!

The 09 Blade handles beautifully no doubt. Would still love to take the R1 for a spin around the track. You have no idea how much I envy you for owning one

Hmmmm, i remember seeing you around with the bike then. Cool stuff.
You sure dont wanna ride an R1 man, you're lucky to blast around in a CBR1000. The R1 will never turn the way you want. CBRs rule around the corners. I have had my share of blasting the stiff-headed R1 around corners. You need to get used to it really well. But a CBR will make you feel at home instantly.

Okay now am really itching to ride THE ONE to see what you mean. The Cbr's linear power delivery does make it a tad easier to tame at lower rpms but on the higher end it is a beast of a machine and surges forward like a bull seeing RED.

Well..well..well...a clash of the Titans. This would be a great comparo, the R1 Vs the Blade on a track.
I have a hunch that the Blade will be faster round a track than the R1. Most of the auto journos that have ridden both these beasts swear by the Blade.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

                            It's a different story all together with the 09 R1 :P

Yes, that should be the case. I really admire Yamaha for the various innovations that are flowing from the M1 to the R series. Being a Honda fan for a long time, I was getting insanely frustrated with their lackluster performance on the track and sicker models in the HH Mode for sometime...more paint and sticker themes (just kiddin...dont stone me for this).
