Now i get it. I was in Hyderabad over the weekend and driving below the Shamshabad airport flyover and was passed by a number of superbikes. Guess i missed it again this time. Was pretty busy with loads of office and personal work.

Hopefully, i should be able to make it next time.

Felt sorry to see this but i noticed that some of the bikers were not wearing proper protective gear.
I always have a pillion when i ride. Its my guardian angel.

Joel had some trouble with his zma on the first day due to a faulty CDI. They needed a CDI to check whether it was indeed the CDI is the culprit. I have a ZMA, but I was working that day. Rahul rode all the way from his home to almost near my office( some where en-route Jeedimetla, that is around 30km from Rahul's home!!!)when he was informed that Joel could source a CDI. Had they did not find it, poor Rahul had to take my ZMA(leaving his bike with me) all the way from office to GMR airport, thats another 40 or 50km!!!. Well thats not all, he would have to sync up with me again to exchange the bikes!! He would have put up a thread on touring with-in the city!!! lol.

Joel finished 1st on the RTR and 2nd on the Zma
as for the 1st day the only problem he had faced was a faulty ignition coil the CDi was working fine

                          Damn..!!
Typed the whole thing and the current went away..
                          In short..
Prabhakar was interested in the drags. He registered & informed me at the last minute.
We were preparing the bike on Saturday. Got the exhaust from Joel and got it welded. It was a race built one. Installed it and boy-o-boy the note was addictive. Next bought the R15 front rubber for our rear and got it fit. Meanwhile Joel's bikes had some problem. So i was on my way to kkr2k2's place for getting this Karizma when i got a call that Joel had procured the parts. Poor me..!! Then we headed home and got the bike totally stripped late at night. We had Biryani and retired for the day.
Next morning, Sunday, the day of the drag, i woke up late as usual.. Prabhakar was waiting for me and i called him and asked him to start for the drag strip. He was riding slowly as the tyre was new and was in run in. I was able to catch him pretty soon. Then after a few talks we whacked open the throttle only to find that the bike was struggling at high revs. It was running way too lean. It was pulling away till 3rd gear but i was able to overtake after 95 kph with ease.
We reached the drag strip and informed Joel about the same. We tried swapping the ECU's. But the useless unit cant be run swapped. So Joel did some tweaks and the bike started to run better at higher revs. Soon all the participants arrived and i started to drool upon the lovely dragsters (RX's & RD's).
The drags started and i was enjoying every bit of them. We were waiting. Joel's 1st turn was in 4-stroke upto 165cc class on his Fiero/RTR. Also Sahil was participating on his P150. Joel won it at 15.97 secs and Sahil came 2nd at 17.84 secs. Joel got upset as he had clocked better timings many times before. Next after a few other classes came the much awaited 4-stroke upto 260cc class in which both Prabhakar and Joel participated. Joel came second after a Comet with a difference of a mere 0.3 secs. Prabhakar's inadequately tuned setup still gave him a good lead ahead of the Comet at the start but the tune and the 30cc difference showed its presence pretty soon when Prabhakar was left behind.
There were many BIG bikes and cars. A total of 5 R1's, 1 Hayabusa, 1 R6, 1 ZX 14R, 1 ZX 6R, 1 CBR 600R, 1 Intruder and many others came this time. In cars Nissan Skyline GTR, a Porsche Boxster S, Subaru Impreza, Honda Accord, a few Mercs & a Honda VTec mill on a custom designed chassis and many others were present. Although their turnout was less probably because of DRI issues, the crowd was much more this time. During the wheelie session a few nice wheelies were pulled by the participants. But frankly speaking MUCH better wheelies were pulled by the posers in the crowd. The food was priced exorbitantly high as usual.
I and many others had a nice time at the drags. A few xBhpians were present. But they all left soon without leaving the slightest of hint. Till the end me and Sam were there.
A few pics were taken by Tarun(TnT) on my Cam. I request others to add the pics as well. Presently resizing the pics. Will upload soon.
